Arrived here early morning after night flight. We were made very welcome and served tea and the most delicious banana bread. It is secret recipe and I can’t quite make it at home. Did a tour of Delhi in the afternoon so we were ready...More
We stayed here for 2 nights in February. The people are very friendly and the food was excellent, it is something to sit on the roof terrace in the evening having your dinner with a brazier by your side to keep you warm. But if...More
This is a fantastic place to stay in Delhi. There are about 4 rooms on each floor , each of which have a sitting area, so you can meet with your fellow travellers. There is also a rooftop terrace from which to overlook the city....More

I would suggest asking them to send a car for you. It will be more expensive than a taxi because it's a " double run" but it won't be a wallet buster cost. The reason is because New Delhi traffic and the sheer size of the place. You can't assume that the taxi driver from the airport will be able to find the Colonels retreat. I took a local taxi during my stay, it was a 15-20 ride, but it took 45 minutes because the taxi driver, a very nice man, from Amritsar not Delhi ! didnt know his way around LOL the taxi drivers often rely on you knowing where you are going .
The Colonels Retreat is fantastic , just let them take care of you,
