Detailed Reviews
Ok I really don’t know where to begin, my stay at the lodhi was 13th December until the 20th December. Driver was there to collect me from the Airport car was super clean with loads of gadgets and cool water on hand to drink ( glass bottles were used through out the hotel to reduce plastic. Which hotels across the world need to follow, driver was very pleasant, did not ask any questions. Which was perfect. Closer to the arrival at the hotel I noticed he called ahead to say he is nearly arriving, front desk were outside to greet me. Check in was super quick it was done on my way to the room.
Room was very very large with a private plung pool, room was spotless, best part was the warm seated toilet, loved it as the weather was cold.
Met the chef as I have a vegan in the family. So he was on hand to make whatever she needed. He was amazing on his day off he passed on the information to the other chefs OM BHATT /. SANJAY BC I think that is their names.
The Elan restaurant was opened 24/ 7 food amazing Gyanendra Singh, Himunshu, Naval, Sahil, Naveen all so pleasant and not constantly hovering around the table but still there when you need something, the restaurant is constantly busy with people having meetings but service is still super quick. Head chef was very
House keeping was always on hand Sanjay, kuldip, Sanjeev, Sunil were very fast when I needed anything cleaning.
The front desk were very professional and attentive. Wish I took down their names.
It was my birthday whilst I was there they did a beautiful flower decoration on the balcony and outside my door and a cake not once but twice, so that was a pleasant surprise.
Amazing spa and sports facilities I used the squash court, if I had time I would have played tennis. Very large outdoor swimming pool.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Lodhi is located in a relatively peaceful setting, close to the major tourist attractions. A standout feature are the huge and well laid out rooms (category „Lodhi Room“ and above). They come with a private outdoor plunge pool which is certainly stunning, but was of no use to us due to the very poor air quality in Delhi during our visit.
This having previously been an AMAN hotel, service standards are very high. The staff were very attentive and handled all of our requests flawlessly. If anything, service can sometimes even be a bit too much to the western guest: At every service desk, multiple staff are signaling their willingness to help which can sometimes make interactions feel a bit overwhelming.
The concierge team in particular did an excellent job of arranging two excursions for us with a friendly and knowledgeable guide in Agra (Javed Khan) and two fearless drivers (Rotash and Jagdeep) who safely navigated us through the madness that is traffic in Delhi.
We found breakfast to be very good and appreciated the a la carte set up (there is no buffet). Dinner at the „Indian Accent“ fine dining venue was excellent and a great showcase for Indian cuisine. Here too, service was highly professional but felt a bit like an assembly line at times. We think the atmosphere could feel even more intimate if tables were served by one waiter/waitress exclusively.
Finally, a word about the design: Our decision to pick the Lodhi was partly driven by the fact that the building was originally constructed to be an AMAN hotel, whose pared-down yet warm and inviting design we generally love. We could not help but feel, however, that the modifications The Lodhi has done are for the worse. Introducing a bit of colour and Indian design to the guest rooms may have worked out well and even boosts the sense of place. It is the public spaces that feel weirdly dressed up with flashy furniture (cow pattern in a Japanese restaurant, anyone?) and countless paintings for which the building and its clean lines were obviously never intended.
In conclusion, you are likely to have an excellent stay at The Lodhi. It is already the obvious choice in Delhi for friends of modern decor luxury hotels and, with a few modifications to the hard product, this could be one of the world‘s best.

As a frequent business traveler, I recently had the opportunity to stay at The Lodhi, New Delhi. I had stayed in the month of March 2020 and I was massively impressed with the overall hospitality of the hotel.
The personal care given by Mr Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Head Concierge, was unparalleled. He ensured that I was very well attended to. In fact, since these were the initial days of the virus spreading in different parts of the country, the hospitality industry with grappling with regulatory directions on a day to day basis. The Lodhi was professional and managed the process without any inconvenience to its in-house guests. All changes in the sanitization procedures, cleaning of the rooms, the kitchen etc. were seamless and Mr Yadav was always available .
Additionally, Chef Trivendra Rawat and his team went out of the way to accommodate me while I was stuck at the hotel. He gladly made food outside the menu with a “home touch”. I am great admirer of “ghar ka khana” and I was literally served what my heart desired. I understand that this may not be a regular service (and happened because the hotel was only entertaining the in-house guests who could not leave Delhi because of the virus).
The Lodhi has several restaurants and menu in each of them is eclectic. I specially love their all day menu at “The Elan”. It’s a must for anyone who loves western as well as Indian dishes. The Safari Lounge is well decorated and their new Italian restaurant “Perbacco” is arguably one of the finest Italian restaurants in the capital. The gym, the pool and the pool café are exquisite.
The room are a class-apart with a plunge pool in several of the rooms. The service is top rated and the size are of rooms can make any comparable hotel envious.
Most importantly, I truly felt at home during the period and I would highly recommend The Lodhi for any person who wishes to enjoy leisure with a touch of regal class. And finally, as those who were stuck would know that the lockdown was announced overnight and I had to travel to my hometown (about 140 kms from New Delhi). Despite my best efforts, I had troubles to arrange a taxi. Mr Yadav, once again came to rescue and helped me to orgainse a hotel taxi within a matter of minutes. He further ensured that I reached home safely. None of these are ordinary services. The Lodhi took hospitality to the next level and I’d always be grateful because people there, care! I cannot wait to go back!

We went to celebrate our daughter's Birthday and had an amazing stay at the Lodhi. Right from the check in till the time you leave the hotel, you are pampered with par excellence service. We had a smooth check-in which hardly took a minute. Ms Roshni from the front desk was extremely kind and gave a nice walkthrough of the room and amenities. She helped arrange a complementary cake and candles by the private pool for the occasion.
Everything in the room is par excellence. Starting from the fully automatic toilet, temperature controlled
shower, seperate bathroom and dressing areas, the private pool and ofcourse, the sheer size of the room.
Alcarte breakfast was served at the Elan with a very wide range of options. Mr. Sahil at the resturant was extremely courteous and took good care of us. Our daughter's were delighted with the wonderful deserts they were offered. The hotel also offered a special surprise at the Elan for the birthday.
Finally, even the checkout was like a breeze, and the hotel staff even ensured our car was waiting at the porch, even before we walked out of the front door.
It was one of the best staycation we have had in several years. Though it may appear to be a bit expensive but every moment you spend at the hotel is definitely worth it. We will definitely visit again with family in the near future.

We stayed at Lodhi which was the best decision made. The concierge team Rajesh, Gaurav, Manish were eager to help whether it was trivial matter like retrieving my soft toy or more complicated like planning a trip to the Golden Triangle. Before the trip I was already communicating with Rajesh with the planning. There was a hiccup with iconic sites being closed and when he said "no problem, we'd figure it out no matter what." That was when I knew I have not only found the right hotel, but also the right staff who understands what customer service was. He gave me the peace of mind that if I ran into any issues anywhere in India, not only in New Delhi, he would try his very best to assist.
The driver Sandeep the concierge team arranged for us was the most courteous guy with a kind, gentle soul. He always drove carefully, made sure we were comfortable and safe. Sometimes it felt like he was a bodyguard cum driver. Whenever I jumped out of the car exploring something interesting that caught my eye, he always followed close by to shield me away from any potential danger but far away enough to give me the personal space to do whatever I was doing.
We started our trip staying at Lodhi, and went on for a week long trip in Rajasthan, and ended the trip back at Lodhi. When we were returning to Lodhi, I literally felt like I was returning home. Soni welcomed us back with a big sunny smile and surprised us to an upgraded room with a plunge pool.
Our departure flight was late at night and Lodhi arranged on their own initiative, a room for us to freshen up before we left for the airport. That was very thoughtful because a shower was the first thing I wanted after a day of being out and about in India.
Lodhi is a hotel with staff genuinely caring about their guests' comfort and trying to make them feel at home away from home. I loved it so much I will be returning to Lodhi next week, and I know I will not be disappointed.
Thank you, Lodhi, especially the concierge team for making my India visit exceptionally enjoyable and comfortable.

I and my wife stayed at The Lodhi on Aug 13, 2021. We stayed in Deluxe Room with a plunge pool. The Bakery in the hotel is a must visit where we had Aloo puffs and veg quiche. The room is very spacious and has a plunge pool. I had to compliment Vijay who had prepared the room which was spic and span. In the evening we were visited by Sunil from housekeeping who was very prompt in taking our wet towels away and ensuring that we were not disturbed while he quitely cleaned the bathroom. Sunil did an excellent job and we got his picture as well. Lodhi has a well trained staff who is sensitive to the guest needs and privacy and ensures that the guests receive premium quality.

The day is our anniversary so we had high expectations. The moment we enter the room, we see an amalgamation of taste, luxury and class. The room was sealed after being sanitised. Our attendent Arushi was kind to let us know a bit about the hotel but we knew there's a whole history to this magnificent hotel. The room caters the needs for its guests that are important yet get missed most of the times by hotel chains. The pool inside the room maintains a standard temperature for the guests to dip in any time. It was our anniversary so the staff went out of the way to decorate the room with balloons, candles, and towel art. We had set a bubble bath with salts. The housekeeping staff - housekeeping supervisor - Sanjeev ji, Jagdish Kumar ji, Sanjay ji, Vijay ji, bhagwan ji were kind enough to make sure he hotel amazingly romantic for us!! It was an experience of a lifetime, will never forget these moments. Sharing some pictures for future guests to get an idea of what they'd be experiencing. :))

Food and quality you can get in any of the five star properties but the nature and warmth of the staff is one unique thing you'll enjoy here. From housekeeping staff to the ones at the reception everyone is so well mannered particularly Nikhil and Lokesh at the restaurant Elan. Presentation of the food and placing of cutlery to so many things it's all finely taken care of. One must definitely appreciate the warmth of the people and fine quality of the services provided. Value for money

Booked premier plunge pool room on 11/8/2021
House keeping staff keep on nagging for tips and asks favours for providing complimentary services.
Sanjay( house keeping staff ) was asked to clean the room at 7 pm but nobody came till 9 pm. At 9:15 sanjay came and said that he has been doing service to us since morning and tomorrow you all will leave and wouldn’t meet him and diguisely ask for tips. When it was not given then he left the room and didn’t come back. When we reached back to room after dinner we saw that room was not clean and took up the issue with front desk then he came to clean at 10:20 pm but we asked to send someboy else . We also kept asking for hair drier which was not available in the room but the same was provided by sanjay after 1 hour that too after various calls at front desk .Sanjay asked in the afternoon that he can do services like litting the pool area and balloons but when he was not given tip at that time he didn’t do anything. No complimentary tetra pack milk as told was given nor any other complimentary service was provided by house keeping.
Management is also requested to check the cctv footage of outside room no. 704 at around 1 am in the night as the door bell was rung by someone 2-3 times to disturb the sleep.
Won’t recommend this hotel to anybody nor would visit it again.
