We had gone for two night stay at Taj Mann Singh to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The staff was very courteous and the food was also very good. The hotel also arranged for balloons and cake for our daughter. The biggest issue is that the hotel is under renovation so whole day you will listen the drilling noise in room. i could barely listen to TV even at full volume. half of the property is not allowed for visitors. Even the lobby female washroom was booked by male painters and max a female attendant is provided to guard the washrooms. So, think before you make a booking. We went from Gurgaon to Delhi just to have some peace time and were repenting on our choice of hotel.
I know the entire team of Taj maan Singh since a long time and all of them are known to me very well, therefore the service I get is highly personal , but when selling taj club rooms one has to make sure that all day tea coffee is available like it was in the lounge. Lobby lounge was always full and in house guests were turned away due to no availability. Rooms were highly noisy with drilling and construction sounds all day. why can't we reserve two tables for Taj club ? Machan was pathetic ! UNHYGENIC LIPSTIC MARKS ON THE GLASS ! Ipointed it out to the restaurant manager.
A very very nice hotel.I had very positive vibes the view from the room was great.the staff is extremely courteous.the best thing was the food at the house of Ming.one of the best Chinese restaurants I have ever visited.breakfast in machaan was the super super excellent.it is very different from any other hotel I have been to.so no buffet they get you what ever you need at the table and it was extremely delicious.
The rooms are new and very clean, good breakfast and the staff at the restaurant were very nice and helpful, but I was very dissapointed as there was no hot water in the bathroom, even after complaining, the second day I faced the same problem. This is not a complain, but its a very necessary, as even a small hotel takes care of this issue. I got a noisy room, since there were repairs going on, but I was neither aware at the time of booking, or was either informed at check in.
Taj Mahal truly is a iconic place not only in history but also in the present world. In this pandemic the hotel was booming and the most interesting part was that they were following all covid protocols. We arrive late as in early morning after a long - long drive from Shimla, so we were exhausted but the front desk team was efficient to get our check in done and also get our luggage in our rooms in no time. Breakfast spread was just mind boggling and we could not just stop going back again and again. Best Wishes to the Taj Mahal team in this pandemic
