We went there for a weekend. Cottage is pretty decent and ambience is also rustic though not well maintained. But the worst part is staff and food. All the staff members need basic etiquette and courtesy training. They have no clue what it means, especially the lady at the reception and Dharmaraj, the manager. Coming to food, for the price you pay...

Chitravana actually means a forest of pictures. The owner (Who is also a painter) who took as around explained each corner with a lot of pride and joy.Cottages are simple and clean. Dont expect state of art facilities. Each cottage has its own backyard and privacy. The rooms are the simple variety if a little over priced. Maintenance is a question...

We had been there for first time for a friends birthday treat. Its quite far from the Mysore city yet it was an excellent property. We had chosen a table amidst the plantation which was a hut kind. The food was excellent and with good taste. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The soups and tikkas were mouth watering. Overall...

This is one of the worst places I have stayed in terms of food quality and its pricing, staff behaviour and response, room cleanliness. The place seems to have a good ambiance but the property is not at all well maintained. We were asked to pay the room ( we had booked the cottages) charges in full, the moment we...

This resort is outside of Mysore. A few cottages & rooms in side jungle. Could be a good place for bachelors & very adventurous travellers but not with family. Cottages are just okay with Medimix kind of soap inside the bathrooms. Seems they have outsourced there restaurant & F&B to some other entity. You have to pay cash every time...

I liked this place. But not a great one,...Its bit secluded and 10 kms away from proper mysore city. Need to improve the Cottages as there were lizards and mosquitoes in dozens. Also they need to include some activities out there,

The resort is good with a clean swimming pool. The restaurant is open, big and spacious. It has mosquitoes which waiters ensures to light a mosquito coil under the table. The food is good. The dishes mentioned in the menu doesn't match the dish served. From the menu I ordered 'Chicken Mughlai' which is mentioned as boneless chicken with so &...

Chitravana Resort was a pleasant surprise for us as soon as we entered their main gate. It green all around, very good landscape, calm and quite. Very good facilities, kids play area, swimming pool, restaurant, spa, cycling, cricket stuffs. Rooms (we stayed in cottage) are spacious with big bathrooms. The place is 10 yrs old, so some of the stuff...

we had booked a cottage and by far had the worst experience. Room was not ready till 3PM !!! 1. The cottage welcomed us with a smell that was close to cowdung(Literally) and stayed along during the entire duration. 2. The room cleanliness and the bed/furntiture was pathetic and terrible to say the least. 3. The staff were extremely rude....
