The place is beautiful and quite close to the town, Jaipur. We were a small group of giornalists and photographers and we had a bad surprise as we arrived: there was no wifi. A fake password was given to us, but it never worked, and the staff was apologetic about it. Dinner was great, we were the only guests, but... More

We visited the Castle as it was the setting for the Viceroy Club in the Marigold Hotel film. The building is an old Fort, with well tended gardens. We had a very nice lunch there. The food was good, a set Indian meal. The staff were as always in India wonderful. A good atmospheric place for lunch.

We are big fans of the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and our visit to Jaipur wouldn't have been complete without a visit to The Viceroy Club. We decided to come for dinner and drinks and called the hotel before hand to make arrangements. For some reason our message wasn't passed to the caretaker and we arrived in darkness, 'greeted' by... Phantastic heritage hotel just a short drive from Jaipur. Very well maintained property with a nice garden, marble pool and even a small museum. Excellent rooms, very spacious, filled with antique furniture. Great north Indian food; courteous staff and very wellcoming owners. Overall highly recommended for a trip to Jaipur, we had a marvellous time and will certainly be back.

The entire property was full of charms of a bygone era. Castle wall complete with cannon windows and grand front gate, chicken and peacocks freely roam, beautiful marble tiled pool, and it's own temple casting a special peace to the grounds in the morning. As with most places that are 'charming', be prepared for temperamental hot water supply and wifi... More

Arrived 24th October for one night. My room, No. 25, comprised salon with a/c, bedroom with a/c, and huge bathroom. This hotel was used as the Viceroy Club in "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and has the air of a Private Gentlemen's Club, peaceful and tranquil. Film crew in attendance during my stay but unobtrusive. My meals cooked to requirement... More
