I very rarely write reviews. However, this gem of a Heritage Hotel is worth every moment of my review writing time. I booked the hotel through Agoda a couple days prior to arrival in Jaipur. The Agoda booking process offered me a room upgrade as a final offer when submitting my reservation request. I accepted the upgrade and was pleasantly...

We stayed in this hotel in september 2015 and it was one of the best places we ever stayed in india in. Heritage hotel, it gives you an impression of spending couple of days in a sultan palace with a nice garden all around. Very clean, very peaceful, it was really an oasis nearby the center of the crowded city....

Pleased to report notice was taken of our last review! Reception has taken our review very seriously and improvements have been made. The garden and pool are still beautiful as ever and all other staff continue to go out of their way to be helpful. Would now definitely recommend if your staying in Jaipur and like a hotel with a...

I went with a group of 20 people last summer (adults and kids) and we booked 9 rooms over two nights. The palace is calm and each room has a different touch to it. You will see peacocks and peahens in the gardens. The food is average but for that you can always walk 10 steps to BAR PALLADIO. Absolutely...

The hotel has one of the best properties which merge with Rajasthan's heritage. Excellent landscaping too. But the rooms being converted from the Haveli lack a bit in comfort. Air-conditioning is poorly planned. A big room has just one AC, first floor rooms thus become a pain in peak summers.

Beautiful setting and pool. Disappointing in all other aspects, except for a few helpful waiters/ porters. Disappointing for the amount charged. The RUDEST and most ARROGANT reception staff i have experienced in 20 years of travelling to India! I have returned to this hotel a number of times due to the beautiful pool and garden, but after my last visit...

The Villa sits in all its splendor in lush gardens and grand entrance. Conveniently located from all attractions and shopping. It has 3 of the hottest boutiques on site. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with the rajputana style. Very secure and safe overall. Good size pool and Mandir on site with peacocks roaming the grounds. Food onsite was...

My friend and I stayed here for two nights as part of a personalised tour of Northern India. We had asked to stay in heritage hotels and were not disappointed by the hotel and grounds. Our room faced on to the upstairs terrace and was furnished with antiques, with a nice seating area. The bathroom was clean and spacious. Our...

What a shame... This place could do so much better as it is a majestic place full of character and endearing quirkiness but is let down and ultimately does not deliver on the promise. It is expensive for what it offers; food quality and choice should be a lot better. There is free wifi and a good 'business area' where...

Oh dear - what a let down this hotel was. It looked good on screen and some of the reviews painted a picture of old world service and charm. Where to start. The grumpiest receptionist, scowling porters for the luggage, and off we go up a never ending (or so it seemed) backs stone staircase to a beautiful terrace. Our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
he Narain Niwas Palace Hotel, a Heritage Hotel, provides a good example of history amalgamating with modern times. Centrally located in Jaipur, the Pink City of India, the palace was built in the 19th century by General Amar Singh Ji, the then Thakur of Kanota. Designed in a fanciful version of The Anglo-Indian style popular in the Victorian Era, the palace now serves as a hotel. The Palace has all the modern amenities and a place where one can enjoy traditional Rajput Hospitality. Decorated with Rajput Flourishing, Rajasthani Furnishing and Traditional Jaipur painted wall decor in a typically bold colour palette; Narain Niwas was built in the 1928 by General Amar Singh, Thakur of Kanota, and Commander of the Jaipur State Force. ... more   less
