From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice. A very impressive looking building from the outside and quite beautiful inside. Check in was swift and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Our room was stunning with a canopied 4 poster bed and all the expected refinements. The bathroom was clean and functional with... More

The hotel style is really traditional even exagerating on certain aspect but which makes it even more quite atypical in a way. The location is good in a quiet street and the room are clean and quite comfortable. This is a good value for money

What an amazing building, with most of it's original features, just like when it was a palace to the rich & famous! The rooms very good and tastefully furnished and the services were good, staff friendly and overall a great experience. I just found that it was a little bit far from all the main attractions. The breakfasts were excellent,... More

We stayed 2 nights in January 2014. The room was spotlessly clean, good modern bathroom. No views but the interior is interestingly decorated. The restaurant is in the basement with no outside light but the breakfast (included) was excellent. The hotel staff were very helpful especially the front desk. The location is slightly away from the main centre/old city in... More

The royal rooms are nice but very different in size and finish. For example we booked one with balcony, alas our room had none. We were offered a balcony room the day after. Don't use laundry service, the clothes still smelled bad of sweat after returned. 10% discount but no refund even though they actually had not been cleaned because... More

The rooms are the best thing about the hotel. Very impressive. Nice large comfortable bed. Room had a balcony which was nice. The hotel has so much detail which is great, so much to look in every room. The roof top resturant was closed unfortunately so didn't get to go eat there but went up and the view was amazing... We had 4 nights in the Umaid Mahal and had a lovely time. Room 310 +had a nice view from the balcony and had everything you might need including tea making facilities, fridge, tv, great shower and WiFi. We found the mattress to be thin and hard but they put another on top which solved the problem. The staff could... More
