The most memorable stay @ Barwara Kothi. 100% recommended. The warmth and the service she provides to her guests is very special. The place is well located. All the food places are around the corner. All my foreigners friends had a great stay .

Exactly as other negative reviews. Barwara kothi is my only bad hotel experience when traveling thru northern India. Loud, room has bad odor that stays, maintenance is bad (peeling paint/ lack of paint / door handles painted), lipstick on new towel, mini fridge dirty and worn badly, lighting weak at best, warnings by manager not to drink tap water or... Communication is key..Our is a heritage homestay..we do not market it as a hotel and are constantly asking the guest if they are comfortable and in need of assistance wrt the stay or the city tour. All rooms have large french windows and are aired in the mornings during cleaning. The guest can open it themselves to let fresh air... More

Myself, husband and 3 year-old child stayed at Barwara Kothi. The place was extremely clean and had a lot of places to look around. They had a completely fenced off yard with a lot of running area and a table for relaxing. The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly. We loved our stay

I stayed with my family for 2 days. Here are some facts - a) Its not a hotel its a large house & a home stay - so don't expect a swimming pool or hotel like facilities. b) Rooms are clean & large. We were given an extra bed for our child which we did not even ask for. c)... More

Lovely home with beautifully anointed spaces. Loved the vegetable/fruit garden. All the food was excellently prepared and the presentation on beautiful table linen was a welcome. A central location makes this a favourable place to hang your hat for a visit to Jaipur.

Dear Guest, Thank you for the kind comments. This season a lot of our vegetables cooked as well as the salads were from our vegetable garden. We are so glad you enjoyed the meals. Warm Regards, More

My husband and I returned to Barwara Kothi again in February this year after a wonderful stay in 2015. It was as if we had returned home and we were again warmly welcomed by Deepali and her family. Our beautifully furnished room featured a large covered balcony, offering a peaceful place to read or relax after a day of touring... More

I must say, I was disappointed with this place. I did have very high expectations after reading all their sales spiel. Look, it was a nice place, the staff were very friendly but the two items that made me rate it this way was the bed and the in-house dinner. As far as the bed is concerned, I may as... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments. Our meals are normally the highlight of one's stay as it good, wholesome, home made food. If you would have let us know that evening, we could have seen into what were the shortcomings. The mattresses do not sink in but they are of the best quality available in India. We are in... More

A magnificent - what I would term colonial building - decor from the pages of a magazine, attention to table setting detail and friendly, welcoming staff. The owner of the property, Deepali, personally welcomed us and checked on us each day - a charming host down to earth host. Our room was beautiful, extra pillows no drama for our hosts,... More

Close to everything without being in the middle of it. Which is good, because India can get noisy and a bit crazy for USA travelers. Food was great; rooms were very comfortable and bathrooms were as close to 'western style' as you'll find. Deepali Singh is extremely helpful and a perfectly gracious host. I would not say its a good... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Ours is a heritage homestay located close to the city centre. It is a colonial mansion built in the 1940s with green lawns surrounding the building. It is ideal for guests who are looking for a place with clean, beautiful rooms(some have attached balconies to lounge and read) and home cooked food.
