During my days as a tea taster and acutioneer, I used to visit Darjeeling quite often and this was the default place to stay. These days you can Be an aristocrat for the day and join the Planters’ Club Darjeeling . Lounge in style or rack them up in the billiards room (Rs.100 per person per hour)The Club is located...

We have stayed at this place this time too and during tthe Christmas. I am aware that this place at first look is provides a little disorganized look when you compare this with the likes of some really nice hotels of Darjeeling. But for us, the old world charm of a 20 by 16 room complete with ante room and...

We were told this was beautiful and charming and made a booking. But upon reaching the club we were in shock. The place is dilapidated, everything - yes, everything - is either broken, ragged, dirty, messy or under repair. They have some big renovations going on so one hopes it will be restored some day to what is said to have...

This place is a real one off and I loved. It is really old fashioned place, slightly disorganised but really friendly. My room was was massive wooden panelled, they have a billiard room and an amazing view of the Himalayas. If your like posh chain hotels you will probably not like this place as it's quirky, has no lift, wifi...

Old and atmospheric. Empty due to being poorly signed and well about the pedestrian walkway. Tables were a bit dusty. menus were filthy and old, but soups came in clean tableware and were hot and very spicy. Excellent prices (e.g. soup 100rp) mains approx 150Rp. No wifi despite prominent signage promising it !!

This is an old club from colonial era which is now used for a hotel kind of stuff. The rooms are good for the tariff but lack maintenance in totality. The view of Kanchenjunga is awesome from balcony and that makes for other deficiencies.

The club is very old and is located at very a good location. The property is very big but not well maintained. The rooms, staff and service is very awful. The food too is very poor. The rooms are quite large but not properly furnished which gives you a bad feel about the club. Verdict: Avoid if possible

This is a well located, decent and attractive hotel providing glimpses of Kanchenjunga, eastern Himalayas and Darjeeling town from its verandahs and terraces .Suites are available at reasonable tariff and give feeling of bygone era. Though maintenance is a bit lacking but the location and views of Darjeeling landscapes and mountains compensates for it. Chaurasta Mall, the central place of...

Excellent if you are interested in heritage building. Spacious rooms, though not well maintained. Be careful of mice and rats in few rooms those may cause damage to your valuables. Service is not praiseworthy. There is scope of improvement as far as housekeeping is considered. Located at one of the best places if you are interested to spend your holiday...

“Suits on the first floor, on the left after you climb up the staircase have a fabulous view of the town market and the valley beyond. On a clear day one can see the Mighty Himalayan Range and The Glorious Peaks of Mount Kanjendzonga. Apt for Himalayan lovers and travelers, not sure whether it is good choice for 'tourists'”
