I was visiting Darjeeling for the first time so wanted to have a nice trip. I was very careful while choosing where to stay and choose Tathagata farm , We reached quite late but after a hectic journey the cottage was very relaxing , Moreover the local Darjeeling tea or as Naveen ( owner of Farm) calls it "boutique tea"...

I purposely booked for this farm because i wanted to spend some time in solitude and experience staying in a tent. I yearn for such places. And i got all that i was looking for. The farm is a little less than an hours drive from Darjeeling main city and seems in the middle of the forest though it was completely...

A journey that hectic could not have led to a better place. A path that plays hide and seek with the Kanchanjungha could not have led to a place more warmer in reception, and cooler in weather. The valley receives you with its shades and calm and enthralls you with its food and warmth. Both the Navin's, senior and junior,...

What can I say about Tathagata? This is a place like that! Equanimous! Pure! The hospitality is like being home. The food fresh and delicious. Authentic Darjeeling Tea obviously! But All this to be expected anytime you are lucky enough to make the time to be here. If you are lucky to be here in April - May, like I...

A lovely location away from the madness of Darjeeling. Naveen is a very gracious host and took care of everything. Very nice walk through villages down to a tea garden. We couldn't get to the "secret pool" by the river because it was raining ... next time. One of our best farm/homestay experiences.

Tathagata Farm is nestled among tall trees and in a slope near Lebong. As you climb down from the main road, you are welcomed by the sweeping prayer flags and the meditating marble statue of Lord Buddha: a sense of calm and serenity engulfs you and the chirping of birds and crickets gradually accentuate that feeling. We stayed in one...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Tathagata for three nights during January of this year and truly enjoyed our stay. We chose the tent option and were very happy with it! The tent was very spacious, comfortable and warm, much nicer than any tent I've ever gone camping in. All facilities were very clean. The Tathagata staff was very accommodating...
