Nestled in a beautiful forested valley, surrounded by tea gardens and overlooking the river Rung Dung this is and idyllic location with views of Darjeeling, Sikkim and the Himalayas. Accommodation in large suites within tea plantation managers bungalow - all wonderfully decorated and furnished in mid 20th century style and with spectacular views. Meals (breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner)...

We travelled from Pelling to Glenburn and the journey to put it mildly is HORRENDOUS. "Roads""do not exist and one can feel the bumps in every corner of your body. The last 45mins to an hour is equally bad but the place more than makes up for the travel hazard. Faye and Will (the outgoing Managers) take great care of...

This is not your usual hotel experience. This is different - not in Darjeeling but about 45min drive from Darjeeling, boutique hotel in a tea garden estate, handful of rooms with mostly foreigners as guests, different cuisine and a unique experience. It is not cheap though but if you want different experience then you need to come here. The only...

For an entire week we were fortunate enough to gaze upon the majestic Mount Kanchenjunga from our room, the Singalila Suite in the Waterlily bungalow, or from the terraces and gardens of the stunning Glenburn Tea Plantation. Its moods and colours were constantly changing from dawn to dusk and in the full moonlight of mid-December when the air was bright...

Just got back from a 3 night solo stay at the glenburn tea estate. I can't believe how they are ranked #4. They should be #1 hands down. Pick up at the airport was prompt with a safe driver and clean car. The driver stopped at a picturesque spot for a quick picnic lunch - paneer Kathi rolls, brownies and...

We enjoyed our stay here very much. You can do as much or as little as you like. Our spacious room in the new bungalow faced onto the mountain ranges in the distance, over nearby Sikkim, and we could also look up to Darjeeling way above. We enjoyed our "Bed" coffee each morning. We visited Darjeeling, had a guided walk...

This hotel doesn't only welcome you at their doorstep, but already at the airport of Bagdogra: the driver offers you a cold drink and wet towels to get you set for the three and a half hours drive to the estate. On the way, you are offered real Glenburn tea, sandwiches (which we really liked) and cake. How English. The...
