Awesome hotel with awesome location and view. The staffs were very cooperative and helpful in guiding the routes and shops near to the hotel. I truly loved the owner of the hotel. They are so nice and humble people and caring too. For my next visit too I will prefer the same hotel again. Thanks for such an amazing experience....

5-7min walk from Chowrasta, this place is far from the town crowd and peaceful. Hotel is clean in every way and you wont have to worry about hygiene if that is your first priority.Wifi is available, the balcony view-you would just sit their for hours and hours to admire the beauty of nature.Talking about the balcony,do not go to Tiger hill to...

This is a hidden wee place at the top of the hill with great budget rooms. I paid 500rs for a double with attached toilet and shower. Decent value in high season, Andy's wanted to charge 800 with no water or toilet. I only had to pay one night in advance so I don't know what everyone else is on...

We had previously booked into Magnolia Residency but found it too noisy and poor value. We had a good look at a number of other options, including Andys, and settled on Long Island for it's balcony with mountain view and the quietness. The room was clean but tired. 24hr hot water. Bed was not bad by Indian standards but not...

Rooms clean, but a bit old. Bathroom rusty. Hot water 24/7. No views on the first floor. We wanted to stay for 9 days and said in advance, but they told us to pay the 9 days in advance which we thought was not necessary at all. We told them if they could give us the wifi password, since we...

Long Island is the only hotel I've encountered that makes you prepay for 2 (two) nights in advance. This is according to their alleged policy of 2 night minimum. That is obvoiously unacceptable, and I told so to the owner who was completely indifferent. Some rooms upstairs might be worth the 500 rupees, but the cheaper ones downstairs are overpriced....

I spent 5 days there. Rooms are good, clean and cheap, although a little refreshing may render theme even more appealing. Those with attached bathroom have boilers, thus you have hot water at any time. High speed wifi available in overall building, even on rooftop, but switch off during the night. Rooftop offer a nice view on Darjeeling and mountains....

Great value at the top of Darjeeling by the TV ariel. The Nepalese owner (can be a little quiet at first) is one of those owners that truly puts the needs of his guests first. We had a great 5 day trek organised through him. Money changing (great rates) and had to procure rail tickets are also services he offers....

Basic backpacker place, clean rooms with attached bathroom. There's a 24/7 hot shower which you share with everyone (though 24/7 isn't actually correct as the owner has the key you won't be able to shower at 3 in the morning). There is a small common area with two computers and a few books left by other travelers, the area is...

Cheap and it did the job. The rooms were ok - could of used a freshen up, but they are fine in reality (hard beds however, whcih I don't mind). The downside was that the bathrooms weren't that ventilated well and kind of smelt when you went in. Otherwise the owner is a really nice guy and can set up...
