A 2.5 hours drive from Kolkata brings you to an old rajbari which has partly been turned into a hotel. While the pictures looked royal we were a tad disappointed by the appearance which looked quite dilapidated. The office staff were very polite and after...More
Nicely maintained old palace with all the old furnitures. Rooms are large and have nice ambience. Food available only on demand and pre order but I loved the homely food. Communication is a little bit troublesome. Winter is the best time to visit. No nearby...More

Let me tell you the my know fact. During my visit Q-4, 2016 I personally I went through all the rooms & found all rooms are excellent conditions. It is not a Star Hotel, it is heritage, rooms are furnished with old furniture with modern facilities like western style toilet and showers. Only problem we faced they can not run the Air conditioner for whole day because run the A.C by generator (Which was written in there website also). Regarding Meals, I can not remember the price but Veg, Fish, Chicken and Meat meals are available, the price range start from Rs.120 to 220/-, You may check one through Rajbari website. All the details are there. Personally I like it for a week-end tour.

'Best decorated room' is a bit subjective. But I stayed in a mud hut with all modern facilities, well decorated with due sense of aesthetics. Rates around Rs 1500 to Rs 1800. Weekends (Fri-Sun) rates are marginally higher than weekdays (Mon-Thur). For one lunch and one dinner, one breakfast complimentary. Wish you comfortable stay.
