For me, hotels are always about more than the bricks and mortar though this hotel scores top marks in those categories too. It's always about the people who work and provide the service that makes a hotel special. The staff who work here are very special. Let me start with the bricks and mortar part of my review. As the hotel's own description states, this place is quirky. Rooms are larger than in many hotels. I had reserved a Premier King Room and I was very comfortable. Bed was excellent and the sofa was good to sit on after a hard day exploring the streets of this fantastic city. The in-room decor is different from other places I've stayed in, but it has all the amenities that you would expect at a 4+ star hotel and the price for a room was very good. WiFi was by far the best of any of the hotels I stayed at during my month in Malaysia. Check-in was smooth and easy and the included breakfast was excellent with the Nasi Lemak, in my view, being the star and other Malaysian, Chinese and Indian dishes reflecting the diversity of Malaysia. I believe that l had dinner at the in-house restaurant three times during my stay enjoying both the food and the service there. A separate review of the restaurant will follow. However, all of the above good stuff pales into insignificance when we turn to the staff. Every person I had dealings with from the manager, reception staff and housekeeping made my stay feel exceptional and more like a visit to see loved friends. As I was checking out, the staff went to the back office and all came out to thank me for staying at their hotel. I'm not ashamed to admit to having a few tears. Anyway, a massive thank you to Maria, Thivasri, Tariqul and all the staff at Rosa Melaka for making my stay such a joyous one. See you all next year. …

The interior of the hotel is so well design. Nice boutique hotel! Love the design and the cafe is cool area to chill out. Quiet and tranquil. The room is good too. Spacious and love the industrial design. Clean and comfortable. Staff is superb excellent customer service. They actually take note of small little details. For example we arrived at the hotel early and was very very tired from long drive, somehow they did give some priority for us to have the room once the housekeeping has finished. These are small little touches that really makes a different and create “Wow” effect. Staff named Trivasthi is so pleasant and friendly. She is helpful in answering every queries and doubt and very professional in her work. Definitely will come back to stay here again.

The staff has been really helpful especially Ms Theva whose been patience with my enquiries along the way from the day before booking till the end of my stay. The place was great, clean and ease of access with convenient parking spot too.

Bed was clean, pillow slightly worn out. Bathroom toilet had stench odor, shower area had mold. The worst is the air-condition! 30 mins later, my throat was itchy…. I then drank more water. It did not get better until I am outside the room, out and about. The following morning, I was coughing very badly. It is the air-conditioner unit that was never service! I never had this issue staying with hundreds of other hotels I have stayed around the world! Please reconsider if you want to stay at this hotel. Nevertheless the location is convenient and near a lot of eateries.

Very nice, cool, fashionable and comfortable hotel. 10 mins walk from all historic sites and river side. Beautiful rooms. Good eastern meet western breakfast. Nice relaxing seating area by the lounge. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend

The hotel has unique industrial design...the room was very comfortable to sleep in...counter staff Thiva and Karthik were very friendly and accommodating. Esp Thiva recommended all the good places to go to like Huskitory and mamasita. Breakfast spread was very decent and fulfilling esp nasi lemak and mee hoon ( tasted gd) Only thing when we ordered food, the chicken wings did not turn out according to menu. Overall, it was a good choice to stay in this hotel. A small feedback would be to install air conditioning at ground floor. Tourists need to have a gd impression before stepping into the lobby. Furthermore, we are waiting for cab and the weather was pretty hot and humid.

Very nice hospitality service & welcoming staff with Europe Vibe and pleasant stay. It was a lovely place & clean with beautiful setting with good location, ample parking space and great furnishings touch. Stay 2 nights but 1st night our aircond is not cold around 11 midnight. Special applause to Mr. Steve who helps us to move room IMMEDIATELY without hesitation (He offered us room upgrade to a bigger room) since we are families with 2 rooms (1 room is cold). He went up & down settle room transfer for us. I adore his patience attend to us with SMILE. Not blame the aircond but weather in Malacca is too HOT. Bravo to his service recovery. Thank You Steve!
