Centrally located, with wonderful and friendly staff, this place is a gem in Melaka. Around the corner from Jonkers Walk, and within easy reach of everything, the friendly staff will make everything easy. Good parking along the street as well, if you need such a thing. Stay here, and I am sure you will be delighted.

This place was by far the nicest guesthouse my wife and I have stayed in in S.E. Asia. First of all, Malacca is definitely worth a visit. The small colonial downtown is a treasure, and really perfect for a weekend visit. Lots of places to eat, fun to explore, and yet not so touristy that you feel mugged at every...

We chose this place due to the good reviews from Tripadvisor. We didn't regret it. It felt like we were at home. Doesn't have the kind of hotel feel. Location was good. The place was safe and clean. Only four rooms, so you do not feel too cramped. Very quaint decor.

We loved Cafe 1511. It's a converted traditional house so very charming, shared showers and very clean, free tea and coffee, breakfast included, free internet/computers, loads of dvds (tv and dvd played in the room). We stayed in the attic room which was really quiet and homely. Pillows could have been more comfortable if you're fussy about that. Very reasonably...

I did not stay in this hotel but called in for a meal, the staff were slow and not interested. I ordered sea food mee goreng witch eventually arrived as a cold tasteless spaghetti marinara.May be it was a bad day as there was a Chinese couple eating and as they left I heard one of them say rubbish. No wonder it...

The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The towels are new. The shared bathroom/toilet is very clean. The location is perfect, very close to chinatown and the old Melaka. The breakfast is included and you have the choice between different formula, not the usual crapy continental breakfast. I stayed there for 2 nights and it was just perfect

We were planning for a short 2 night visit to Malacca and thought that in a historical city, it would be so much more interesting to stay at a small inn/B&B/guest house. Being a rather fussy person, i did substantial research primarily on Tripadvisor. Picked Cafe 1511 based on reviews, location, it's a heritage Peranakan house and also the owners'...
