The hotel is strategically located so we walked to Jonker Street and the other tourist sites we could visit. It helped us save money since we wouldn't need to pay to park our car. The service given was pretty good - receptionist kind, friendly and helpful. The security guard cum concierge helped carry our bags into our room. However, the...

I think the most fascinating element of this hotel was the exterior aspect. It looks great from the outside but for me that was it. The room was small and not very inviting. What was to be a room on the balcony actually was a room with no vieuw at all. Maybe cause of late booking in high season, but...

Stayed in 202, reached the corridors to the room there was a very damp carpet smell. The room also had the same smell. It was unpleasant. The location good as it was walking distance to jonker and morning breakfast was alright.

We have ordered a room with jacuzzi but it haven't been used for long time so the water was so dirty of dust from the system so we couldn't use it. Also the safety box and cooker didn't work and and after 24 hour try to fix some of it. The location is great og breakfast fine.

Read some reviews about how nice this hotel looked on the outside but run down inside. Well it didnt looked too run down to me. Got a room for 5 overlooking the courtyard. Free inhouse private parking for hotel guest and i managed to park infront of the hotel entrance where i could see my car directly from my room....

The room is old, not too well maintained with moldy smell. Someone even left a plastic packet of finished beverage hung by the door at the jaccuzi area to "greet" us. *yucks* The jaccuzi seems overworked too. Limited breakfast spread. So, the only plus point of this hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to Jonker Street.

Stayed this hotel somewhere at last year with jaccuzi room. Great outlook with the huge and clean room. The hotel provides own private parking and walking distance to jonker street and world heritage spots. For those who worry about the heavy traffic, this is the best choice for staying!

It looks like British mansion from outside but inside can tell it's a bit old..there is always a moldy smell spot whenever I walk to my room situated on 2nd floor but overall room it's ok because is 10-15mins walk away from Jonkers Street. Their service are friendly & also provide welcome snacks & hot/cold drinks at the lobby for...

An over-priced hotel considering what's on offer. Good location, close to Jonker Walk, but no restaurant on site and no room service. Breakfast options quite limited. Service is ok, but not quite 'Sterling'. Lovely colonial facade.

This hotel is listed as a 4 star establishment. Has parking that is safe and hotel itself looks wonderful at first but it is a facade. Lifts are old and there is no concierge/ doorman. Breakfast was good and room was relatively clean though dated. Also walking distance from the historical district but we drove to the centre of Melaka
