Check in on 4June, all going smooth BUT all room at floor 18th are smelly! After went out from lift, you were served with a musty smelly carpet at 18th floor. This were spoil my vacation mood. Not worth with RM300++ per night to sleep with this disgusting smelly carpet and the aircond also is not cold. Ask several people on other floor, they complained the same thing. PLEASE PLEASE avoid this hotel, better get other hotel around like Imperial Heritage or Estadia Hotel. A beautiful vacation turned into a tragedy, choose wise before you spoil your family/wife mood. Thats more important. 😫 Smelly room carpet 😰 aircond not cold ❌ avoid this hotel

The worst experience ever. Our room mini bar/fridge not functioning and the aircond also not functioning. Called the operator and have to wait until 12 am midnight to repair.Stupid hotel management and asked me if i really need to use the fridge??!! hello!!! i paid 700+ and you say that?? there are no compensation from the hotel and they didn't offer to change the room. Still didn't get it how this "4star" hotel been review previously. on the 2nd day ONLY they replace the fridge and its already at 10pm😊we already going to checkout on the next day. Totally not recommended!

Friendly staff. But the room is not clean. The bed cover was not changed, there was a small pool of blood and there was a spot of saliva, there was a vipe on the bed under the blanket. The situation on the table is not wiped. When you call the counter, take 30 minutes for the cleaner to arrived.

This is not the first time I’ve been a patron here but it might very well be my last. I reached the hotel and registered at 12pm; was told to collect my key by 3pm at key collection counter. Checked my bags in; up until this moment everything is normal and going well. It took a 180° turn around 2.45pm; I was back at the hotel and stood in line at the key collection counter. Mind you, this line is only for KEY COLLECTION; meaning it’s for people who has registered beforehand. But I ended up standing in line for 35 minutes because 2 or more parties ahead of me were actually registering and checking in. There are 3 separate counters available; check in, check out and key collection. The cherry on top? Staffs just don’t bother -they still assisted people who were there to register (which takes time; forms to fill, ID to be verified, payment to collect etc). The very party of 4 in front of me made at least 3 separate payments. You can only imagine my frustration at this point. When it’s finally my turn, the staff that was attending the line was nowhere to be seen. Someone finally took over the counter and said “we’ll check first if your room is ready”, to which I replied “your hotel policy says check in at 3pm. It’s 3.15pm now.” He just straightaway informed me he’ll assign a different room for me and process it. At this point I don’t even know if it’s the same room type I booked (junior suite) or if I was downgraded to any available room at the moment. And you know what disappoints me the most? Nothing close to any form of apologies was addressed to me. Not even a “sorry for the long wait”, they look like they just wish I would disappear fast from the line. Other than this horrible check in situation, the remaining of my stay was alright. The room is clean, food variety at breakfast was limited but tastes good and rest of the staffs are friendly and helpful. Check out was super fast though; they even have a box where you can drop off your keycards for express checkout. However, given the sour start of the stay I was left with feeling annoyed over the whole stay

The staff there were all polite and very helpful when we are checking in and out. However, the condition of the room was quite bad, there are stains on the hotel bed and the towels, the torchlight in the room is faulty, and we are only given a small bottle of shampoo and body wash. Hopefully this review help in their improvement. Looking forward to it.

I read a lot of recent bad reviews so I went with an open mind. Stayed there for 2 nights at their Hatten Premier Suite. Check-in was smooth and got a room within the hour even though I checked in at 11am. Room was a bit dated and definitely need some freshening up. It could do with better quality TVs and channels which remind me of when I stayed in hotels in the 90s. We also had a noisy ventilator fan with very thick dust. Exposed wires were also left hanging underneath the lights at the table top. Plus point is that the beds and pillows were good and we had a good sleep on both nights. We had a power black-out in my room on the first night....that was a first for me staying in hotels. Also to get across to the shopping mall, you either have to brave traffic across the road or take the lift to the 3rd floor car park and go through a run-down deserted Hatten Square with most shops closed. Definitely not very safe if you were coming back at night. Other than that, it is more like a 4 star hotel. Can be better.

We chose this hotel because of the location but do not recommend it at all! The rooms are large but old and sorely in need of a refurbishment. The worse part was that the rooms were dirty!! The toilet was not cleaned properly (there was hair and debris on the toilet bowl), the toilet light was faulty and worse of all, the sheets were stained!! We only saw the stain late at night upon returning to the hotel, and had to lay a towel over it because it was gross. Overall a very very disappointing stay, esp as we paid SGD110 for a night! Hatten also originally said they will prepare something as it was my husband’s birthday, but there was nth and we also did not bother to ask for it in the end. Overall, do not recommend.

My first trip back to Malacca and choosing Hatten Hotel was a no brainer for me. The last time that I was there was in December 2018. Love the hotel's strategic location! All my favourite things of why I love staying there still exists! Nice reasonable rates, good spa facilities and services, nice pool, comfy rooms, good breakfast etc. My only feedback would be to consider a re-fresh on the rooms, it's getting a little dated and can see it's age. Would love it if they did a re-vamp but keep what makes Hatten the go to place, would be awesome!

nice room, nice bed, nice bathroom, but the chair seems like a little dirty. some stain on the seat. phone issue < - need to be fix thou. door lock need to be fix too. 6 lifts available. some need to tap with your card. some lift doesn't need (strange). overall, good stay and good location.
