What more could you ask for? The Puri is an excellent hotel in an exquisitely restored building in the centre of the best part of Melaka. Great rooms, great location. And good value. I couldn't fault it. When we arrived, we had 2 rooms on the third floor (booked only a couple of days before). It was going to be... More

a great hotel located in the Jonker Area. Value for money. a beautiful example of a 'Baba Nyonya Home'. was there with family for a weekend getaway. as booking was made last minute so only managed to get the smaller rooms (Superior-Standard)... grateful as it is only the ground floor! rates come with breakfast. WIFI only available in public areas... More

From the outside, along the roll of the street is where we called the 'BaBa Nyonya' house. They are a 3 storeys high houses with the classic olden days architectural style from the “Straits Chinese” (Chinese of noble descent who have adopted the Malay culture into theirs). As I stroll in from the entrance, felt like I have been brought... More

Didnt actually stay here this visit but have done in the past. The place is well worth a walk around as it is full of history, even having a small museum at the back of reception. We stayed for a coffee and had an interesting hour with Ms Jo who made us laugh and took some great photos of our... More

Hotel Puri is in a great location for exploring Melaka - you can walk to most of the town's tourist spots easily, there's good food around the corner and it has an old world charm. However, there's things that could be better. The breakfast is not really worth bothering with - the coffee is undrinkable and the food selection is... More

Stayed for two nights last week and this hotel certainly rests on it's laurels due to the beautiful decoration of the lobby and ground floor of the original old property. After that then it's downhill all the way. Breakfast although set in the courtyard was very disappointing, the coffee awful and the 'hot' breakfast items lukewarm and cold . Our... More

I am quite surprise the old building can be maintained in such a good condition; the hotel was clean, very comfortable and pleasant. Location of the hotel is very convenient, nearby Jonker street, sorrounded by restaurant, various sourvenir shop, walking pace to some attractions such as Christ Church, Menara Taming Sari, Melaka Maritime Museum, etc. Staff there were friendly and... Good value and location. I mean you really can't go that wrong withlocation in Melaka seeing as it's not overly huge, however this is fairly close to the night markets and centre of town without being noisy. The staff were very nice and the décor of the hotel is fairly well done with a lot of antique designs and nice... More

Booked the Heliconia Suite, room's not too clean especially the bathroom, spotted a couple of dead spiders and cockroaches on the floor and bath tub. Perhaps room was seldom cleaned because not many people stay in it? Breakfast provided with the room was quite average, ambience wise is very quaint, outdoor area reminds me of the 60s. Spa experience in... More

The hotel surroundings esp its lobby and cafe area maintained its rich peranakan cultural heritage on its architecture and decorations. The rooms itself were pretty simple but clean and decent. Breakfast provided by the hotel were so so. There are a number of coffee shops, bakeries, food stalls and a couple of bars etc in the nearby area of Jonker... More
