I probably can't add to anything that everyone else hasn't said but I just wanted to write a review for Heeren House as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were spotless with some quaint, old furniture, the owner couldn't have been more helpful, the location was spot on in the middle of everything and on the historic Heeren...

We chose the Heeren House because of it's Dutch roots initially. The location at the Melaka river is very central and has a great view. We were staying in 2 rooms, one big one with 4 beds and a double room. The bed in the latter was a little small though. The owners are wonderful and very hospitable and try...

Heeren House hotel is a small, atmospheric, old hotel situated on the Malacca riverside within a minute's walk of the main shopping area Jonkers Street. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are simple, reasonable size, very clean with an ensuite shower, air-conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities - our room overlooked the river. All for a bargain price...

melaka is a wonderful place and Hereen House is a perfect location to explore the city on foot. Everything was very nice; although the breakfast was a littel dissapointing. It was billed as full english; well no bacon, or real sausages or fresh bread and (typical for malayasia) the orange juice was best described as orange squash. the a spoiler,...

This delightful, family-run guest house is in a wonderful spot for enjoying the old, historic city -- overlooking river and historic town center with early colonial buildings and right around corner from busy streets with shops of all kinds, some very nice restaurants, museums and embarkation point for 45-minute river trips by small flat bottomed motorized vessels (best after dark)....

Service was adequate. The family room for RM259 was a little pricey but worth it for the character and history of the room. Why pay the same or more for a sterile modern hotel ? Compared to the alternatives, Hotel Puri and Baba House, I preferred this place. Bathroom is modern so no Victorian plumbing. My kids felt right at...

I couldn't disagree more with the people who have described the antique furniture in the bedrooms as 'dated' and the rooms 'small'. This place is all about the heritage of the building. If you want massive rooms with ultra modern furniture and giant TVs in a hotel which is the same as most others then go and stay at one...

This is a charming little guesthouse, with a fantastic location and lovely, friendly staff. If you want a big hotel with great TV etc then don't bother but if you want somewhere with some local charm and character, this place is great. The room was fairly basic but very clean and comfortable, with a good view.

Very disappointing. Rooms very cramped and small. Fittings, fixtures and furnishings dated and old. A few antiques that clutter the small rooms. Only local TV available on very small and old TV. Beds are kid size, too short for Western adults. Very noisy on a street corner with people hollering and carrying on late at night next to the river....

We had a family room , the number 6, and it really has nothing fantastic about it for the price we paid. The room is by the street and not really beautiful. It is clean.
