Indeed COVID-19 causing tourism industry hit really bad, at the same time local got advantage for example getting free stay. Free doesn't mean pay nothing, we did pay for the breakfast RM85 for 2 adults and 1 children.

Well Imperial Heritage Hotel is a very superb hotel with prime location, consider close to everywhere, waliking distance amenities, great breakfast as well. You will never get hungry basically. So many food nearby, since Melaka megamall is in opposite the hotel itself.

I just want to highlight to those who's going to have breakfast, either you coming earlier or coming after 8am. The space to eat is not equal with the size of the hotel itself, but if you ask for the taste, from 1 to 5 scale I can say 4.5.

Room, I am staying in room number 501, 5th floor. The room was really nice but the temperature so damn cold, don't get me wrong, it's in good way, since Melaka is quite hot during afternoon. Bathroom is not big but they do give standard amenities. Only thing they have to maintain is the bidet and shower do it can flow water equaly. Mattress is nice, pillow as well, I do have comfort sleep.

Parking is not so big, so the elevator, they only have 3 and it's not equal with the hotel capacity, so you have to be a bit patience.

Was attracted to book this hotel due to its rates primarily, and probably mistook it for one of the hotels I stayed in Melaka years before. The hotel is centrally located right in the heart of the town, and that is probably the best it could get. The hotel is situated in Melaka Raya, where it is one of the liveliest areas in town. There are shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, convenient stores, massage parlours and what not within walking distance. Two shopping malls are right across the road from the hotel, namely Melaka Parade and Dataran Pahlawan Megamall. A Famosa Fort is also within walking distance, and other tourist attractions like Jonker Walk is a short drive away.

The hotel building is quite grand, lending weight to the word Imperial, though the interior of the hotel definitely leans more towards Heritage albeit not in a good way entirely. Overall cleanliness could be improved, the room’s wallpaper is beginning to mold and peel, the shower area in the bathroom is a little tight. At least the family room that we booked was spacious and the beds were comfortable. However, the walls were rather thin and we could hear noises from the corridor and the next room. Throughout the three nights we stayed there, we didn’t get any housekeeping service to clean our room, I even had to catch the cleaner for a change of towels.

It is not all bad for a budget stay, considering the convenience available in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but for a more pleasurable stay I would look elsewhere.

Pros : Location and close to Dataran Merdeka, Hattan Square and some eateries.
Cons : (1) Out of my 3 towels in the room, 2 were horrible (did not check the 1st towel as my husband had used it urgently). One of the other 2 towels were folded and it was damped. The other towel was horrible as it got dried blood stain on it. Called up 3x for the housekeeping to replace it and it takes 45 mins to come and change when I am freezing in the toilet. (2) 2 keys were issued. Both cannot be used and when asked the housekeeping nearby, he said 'battery flat' OMG (3) Room was not tidy up and so as the rubbish not cleared. Although there's a switch showing 'Room Clean' but its not working at all (4) I give up complaining

We were first given a room on the second floor which was very unclean — fingerprints all over the glossy surfaces, the bathroom basin, toilet and shower were dirty (I’ve never seen a filthier shower curtain, with MOULD, rust stains, and what looked like blood!) We requested to move due to hygiene reasons, and were shown a room on the 16th floor which was possibly an upgrade — it was in a similar state. We were then shown a room on the 11th floor which was a different design as well (unclear if it was an upgrade or not), this room was slightly cleaner (no fingerprints), but the shower still had soap scum over the walls and shelf, the basin had marks, the towels were marked, and the curtains torn. At this point we were resigned to our fate so took it, only to have a terrible sleep — the walls are paper thin so we were woken multiple times during the night. The Wi-Fi also only works for five minute intervals, you need to continually log in, which made it unusable.

The location was good however, and staff fairly helpful (although check-in took a ridiculous amount of time).

Stayed 1 night on the X'mas eve in the family room consist of 1 double and 1 single bed, for only Rm120+. First of all, they have 4 floors parking but very limited especially during peak season yet they have many floors and rooms. Parking is FOC by validating the ticket at the counter. But the hotel need some refurbishment, things are not too well maintained. Stints in the bathroom, safety box not working (no power), etc. There are 3 lifts to serve for 19 floors, so quite troublesome waiting for one, instead of waiting I just use the staircase where luckily I was at the 6th floor.

Fast check in. Good location, just beside Dataran Pahlawan Mall. No swimming pool but have gym and karaoke room. We utlised them during our stay.

Stayed in family suite (2 bedrooms) room 1227. Rooms are big. Living rooms are big too. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. 2 toilets and 2 tvs with icloud digital device, can watch youtube and movies. We slept well during our 2 nites stay, very quiet and peaceful at nite.

Just that there are some wear and tear in the room. Both sliding wooden doors locks are spoilt and some scratches on the furnitures but is still ok for us.

All staff there have shown their passion in work. 5 stars service from staff, receptionist, doorman, techician, housrkeeping and etc. All were smiling and ready to serve. I am impressed with doorman Hussein and housekeeping staff samualxxxx. His name is very long, i didnt managed to remember in full. Especially Hussein he is always around to help.

My family enjoy staying in this hotel. Highly recomended.

the only good thing about this hotel is that is located at a good location as there is a few shopping mall around the hotel very convenient. Staff at the front desk were friendly. but they don’t bother to ask patron who is walking in and out of the hotel to wear a mask. i can say 90% of the patrons were unmasked in the hotel and while taking the lift. hotel facility is pretty old and dirty. there were blood stained on the bed and also the dressing table chair. wall isn’t thick, noise pollutions every morning able to hear people slamming the door. housekeeping doesn’t bother to knock on the door or help to clean up the room even tho i did not put ‘do not disturb’ sign.
this hotel definitely not 4 stars. more like a 2 stars hotel.

The hotel is strategically located in the city center (right in front of Dataran Pahlawan Mall) and within walking distance to Jonker Street (10-15mins). They really need to improve on the some of the rooms. The room that were assigned to us have a leakage on the bathroom ceiling. The breakfast spread was not too bad. And for any future guests do take note that the multilevel parking behind the hotel has a very limited space. But overall for the price that we pay it is considered value for money except some of the rooms condition.

Would like to share my experience as below:-

. We was call Hotel Front Desk to request connecting room however Hotel don't have connecting room only can upgrade the room so can get closer room each other in same floor. I was upgrade my room and paid RM 100 for per day.

. During arrival parking full no want give direction where to park.

. Check in was long queue very slow and front desk staff speaking poor English.

. Front desk staff so serious no smile or greeting to Guest.

. Bangladesh Bellman very friendly and smile to us and assist to our floor. Good job.

. Room terrible not 4star standard old stuff's and many defects worse on maintenance..

.Staff and Guest use same lift I think no service lift.

. At Hotel webpage posted got Swimming Pool but long time ago is closed.

. Turndown service done by Housekeeping did not clean properly. Not change new towel and only adjust bed sheets.

. We call and informed to operator to bring new towel but waited almost 5hrs no want come and call again then only deliver the towel.

. My mother and wife tell me that there was saw ghost in the room. I not sure about this but we been travel many places first time there are complain to me.

Overall stay was disappointed not met my expectation on 4Star Hotel standard. Only the best is Hotel location everything nearby.

Reception area is small and there were 3 counters but only 2 are operating during peak hour. Process to check in is long before we can check in and get into our accomodation. As there were 3 of us, we booked a Junior Suite. The room is old and not spacious. Fridge was unplugged and wet inside. Place is generally dusty and floor dirty. We requested for more bath gel upon our arrival after checking into our room as there were only 2 small bottles of bath gel provided which was inadequte for the 3 of us. Unfortunately instead, we were being questioned by housekeeping as to why we required more upon checking in. After much explanation did they concede to our request. The WiFi was weak with little or no Internet connection. Overall an unpleasant experience.
