You'll find tranquility and easy going southern hospitality here. Steven is a true steward of this historic city. The property stands proudly, celebrating her 160 plus years of history with all who enter her doors. Comfort and attention to detail will leave you refreshed. Looking forward to a return visit.

Great place to stay in an historic neighborhood, yet only minutes from downtown restaurants and entertainment. Steven was a wonderful host and good cook serving a southern breakfast. The bedrooms were on the main floor was great for me not to have to climb stairs. A real plus with private baths.

Stephen is the innkeeper and is knowledgeable about the area's history, and dining/entertainment options. He was kind enough to refund our money after the first night due to my complaints. Stephen also accommodated my requests for no breakfast meats. However, the room we stayed in by the pool was not clean. There was a layer of dust on everything. The...

After the guest was in the bedroom until 2pm on second day of their reservation while her husband was taking a test where he claimed he had bugs in his shirt, she let me know she was checking out a day earlier, since she wanted to be at home, only two hours from B & B, with her youngest child....

Clean, quiet and the availability of off-street parking is always a plus. Arrived in darkness and rain and was tired from the road trip. After settling in, Steven graciously offered a lift to a nearby restaurant. Walked around the historic neighborhood the next morning.

We stayed only for one night. Stephen was very accommodating. The home is lovely. Many large historical homes on the street. Stephen prepared a hot breakfast. Room was quite large and very nice. Beautiful large backyard with pool.

Had a wonderful experience staying here for 2 nights. Located on beautiful Government Street with gorgeous mansions surrounding it. Steven, the innkeeper, was very hospitable and makes an excellent breakfast (you have to try his award winning grits!) Would recommend to anyone to stay.

We had an extremely comfortable night here, the house itself is beautifully looked after, the room was plush with an en-suite with everything you could need during your stay. Stephen was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, Mardi Gras which he is obviously very involved with and the history of the property. He directed us to a great bar and then...
