We just spent 3 wonderful days at Dive Kadavu. Anne, the new manager, was incredibly warm and welcoming when she and Sam, the boat driver, met us at the airport. Since there were 4 of us (my husband, 2 kids, and myself), we stayed in Bure #3 which is one of their 2-bedroom bures right next to the village. It...

Booked into Matana for a long weekend after finding it difficult to get a booking anywhere else on Kadavu. Seriously disappointed with the stay experience, food and diving. Being charged $FJ175 per night, I was initially the only guest in a resort swarming with local Fijian people, apparently off duty staff and others from the village next door. Impossible to...

I spent a few nights at this resort in June 2011, primarily for a diving holiday. As for the dives - they are excellent, and pretty varied. There are amazing soft corals, a spot with a large number of white tip reef sharks, grey reef sharks, and morays. Then there's the Astrolabe reef on the other side of the island,...

This is a resort that you will either love or hate depending on your perspective. It is fundamentally set up for diving, and they have a wide range of dive and snorkelling sites available, with a knowledgeable and effective dive master (Soreli - a really good guy) and good dive boats. The accommodation is right on the beach and the...

What a beautiful beach!!!!! Diving is fab...... The food was what you would expect at a mid range backpacker, rooms are clean and tidy and staff are friendly and helpful, however i do feel that the price is not befitting the service. There was some rubbish wash up on the beach and there appeared to be a slight rodent problem...

Great, friendly service, good food and accomodating for special requests. The room was large and airy with nicely decorated Fijian theme. The location is absolutely idylic for a relaxing holiday, a beautiful sandy beach out the front with nearby coral reefs for snorkeling. Plenty of options for sunbaking or finding a pleasant shady spot to sit in, I thought maybe...

Rustic yet comfortable, this hotel provides cozy bures with awesome beach views and extremely friendly staff from the nearby village. Immersion in local culture was awesome (despite some “island time” issues…). New managers – Glenn and Sharon – became our friends and did absolutely everything they could to make sure we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Great diving! Great...

In April 2010, I have been staying for 2 weeks at the Matana Beach Resort. Matana Beach Resort is a beautiful place with a wonderful sandy beach. The beach is clean and natural. The bungalows are spacious and well aired. As I am an underwater photographer, it was important to me to charge my batteries every day. No problem, electricity...

It is a serene and beautiful location. The room was large and airy and its simple designs alluring. The Drue village people are the best - I was invited to dinners and kava nights, and enjoyed each and every conversation. My dive guide was the mayor of the village and it was an amazing experience. But Dave the manager is...

I arrived at Matava unannounced in October 2009, to a friendly welcome. The staff was cheerful, the food excellent and the beach great. I intended to stay just for a night but ended up nearly a week. The resort had just changed ownership and in October 2009 was in need of refurbishing. At the same time I liked the lived...
