Location of hotel is close to Shanghai MRT station and within walking distance to a shopping mall and Takashimaya Dept store. Room is small, reasonably clean, bed very hard and not much choice for English TV stations. Breakfast option was very Chinese, most of dishes were cold and not appetising. There are other hotels nearby with better value.

I chose this hotel since it was very near the venue of the conference I was attending. It is standard hotel with very nice staff. Their English is good enough, but I did some difficulties communicating. My room was good, but it is obvious that the hotel needs a top to bottom spruce. The shower had black lines between the...

It takes 20 minutes by taxi from Hongqiao airport and Hongqiao bullet train station, if doesn't have traffic jam. Almost all staff can speak Japanese and many Japanese business men stay in this hotel as usual. Hotel is a little old but it has wash let type toilet. Breakfast buffet is poor but we can bring out a coffee.

Stayed here several times ever since it opened around 2009 or so. As the building gets older, so are the service and facilities and restaurants. Breakfast is a joke because the rate I booked (double rate) didn't include breakfast for my wife, so they claimed. So they wanted to charge me 100 RMB everyday for one breakfast. I guess I...

(Positives) 1) China Bank ATM on the first floor 2) Within walking distance to restaurants and cafe (10 min walk to starbucks and 15 minute to Burger King) 3) facing a big park 4) 7 minute walk to subway station (Possible negatives) 1) mediocre breakfast 2) Room comes with "cheap chinese luxury" which could have been OK ten years ago...

Stayed in room 822, at the side of the hotel, for several nights. No real view. Yili Rd can be busy but the double glazed window meant the room was very quiet most of the time- with just the occasional muted truck horn filtering through and occasional muted nose from other rooms. Effective blackout curtains kept it dark. Even the...

I stayed there for 3 days with my family. This is a very quiet hotel in the middle of the vibrant city. There is park just opposite to the hotel; you can spend some time in the park in the early morning (very pleasant). The concierge was very co-operative and the check in and checkout is very fast. (even they allowed...

West of Shanghai’s better-known business, cultural and entertainment centers, lies an expansive area of residential neighborhoods peppered with lifestyle pockets that have their own unique attractions. The schools have formed pockets of international communities throughout Gubei, Hongqiao and Minhang. Quite a few entertainment and shopping centers have built up over the years to cater to these communities. While living here means you are relatively far away from Shanghai’s usual hot spots, the large parks, spacious homes and proximity to great Japanese and Korean food keep the neighborhoods popular.
