Came here with my dad and sister and family friend. Amazing hotel with an even greater restaurant! Delicious selection of dishes and the service staff were extremely attentive and helpful. Would 100% come here again!
Room is of good size and it’s quiet and comfortable. Bathroom is OK. Only complaint is that they have those Japanese style electronic toilet. Mine is probably a sensitive one and so it repeatedly detected something even when I was on my bed. This did create a bit of noise. I closed bathroom door when I slept and so it didn’t bother me. On the whole, OK. I got what I needed for a brief stay for business. Breakfast was OK. Again, slightly above average but not exciting. Quite a wide spread. Enough choices. The hotel is attached to a mall. So, many of the restaurants mentioned by the hotel were actually ones operated by other parties. This is OK as this offered Japanese and other choices. And a Starbucks too. Subway station is about 5-7 minutes’ walk. For those who know a bit of Shanghai, this is convenient. But for first-time tourist, this area is probably too local. Didn’t use the gym and thus don’t know if it’s good or otherwise. On the whole, a reasonable choice at a reasonable price.…
Situated in central Shanghai. Can easily book premium taxi to move around town (use Didi app). Plus, please find this lovely lady. She is good with english plus she do help me a lot with my family and my room. We had a great time with her help. *p/s : her name is Kathy Fang
I found this to be a comfortable, clean, quiet hotel. Layout of the room was good, with a large workdesk area and lots of storage. The location is close enough to the subway to be quite convenient for getting to other parts of Shanghai. The surrounding area is definitely not upscale but not unsafe either; I found it to be an interesting area for walking and observing what is probably a middle-class area of Shanghai. There is a secure ATM in a bank across the street from the hotel which accepted Canadian debit cards. That was helpful. The breakfast buffet had an extensive selection and tasted good, although quality was not quite as good as some of the other hotels I stayed at in China. I used their laundry service, and it was quick and reasonably-priced. I was here as part of a tour group, so can't comment much on the amount of English spoken, although I had no problem with the front desk when I did speak to them. There was always at least one person on hand who spoke at least some English.…
First and most important: the pros. - supercomfortable beds with good pillows - lots of breakfast options - nice bathroom - clean and well equipped room - good location near subway and restaurants - good gym Than the cons: - stayed for 6 nights and was not once greeted by receptionists, concierges, bell boys or doormen (exception is the restaurant staff and the cleaning ladies). They are all grumpy or busy with each other - the waterpipes adjecent to our rooms made such an extreme noise that it woke me up several times at night. It sounded like something was smashed to the walls/ceiling - blinding curtains are not all the way to the ceiling, so lots of incoming sunlight - I had to print two pages and was charged 16 yuan. Are you serious? That is not a 5 star service! I am not asking you to print out a 200 page paper, but just two black/white pages. - Hotel arranged a taxi to Pudong Airport and said the price would be 200-220 yuan. I had 275 yuan and thought I was ok. Ended up to be 300+ yuan and I had to let the driver wait and hurry into the airport finding an ATM. How can they be almost 50% off with their estimation? It’s not that I am the first person ever to take a taxi to the airport... This is not a 5 star hotel. Maybe the facility is, but the service is 1 star. So I gave it 3/5. …
