We spent a night at Howard Johnson Hongqiao airport hotel, it is a large fancy hotel in the middle of nowhere with pretty much nothing nearby, which is just fine with us as we want to rest a night and fly out next morning, we intentionally wanted to avoid the city of Shanghai, totally not interested in sightseeing or whatever...

There are dozens of great hotels in Shanghai but this isn't one of them. The only reason you would need to stay here, or indeed stay in this area is for the convenience of Hongqiao airport and train station, both of which are less the 5 mins away. The hotel itself looks very grand but it's showing signs of age....

Stayed for a night just because I had to take an early morning train from Hong qiao. Hotel is situated away from any happening areas and it has a very sleepy look. It seemed pretty deserted when I stayed there. Room was average, breakfast was nothing to write home about. Avoid if you can. Shanghai has much better options to...

This hotel is very conveninet as it is very close to Shanghai Hongqiao airport and there is every 15 minutes a shuttlebus service to the airport and the train station. So if you have to catch a flight or a trin, then this is a good place to stay. Other than that, the hotel is clean and spacous and has...

We stayed for 3 nights and found the stay very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The breakfast buffet was ok, though variety ws limited. The lobby area is very attractive and roomy. The staff at the counters were ok, though not very friendly. The hotel is located far way from the city and the Pudong airport. That...

I normally stay here if I have a flight early in the morning. The polite staff check you in and out efficiently and quickly.. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. When it is busy the restaurants might be full. Room service is ok - I would recommend the pizza ! The breakfast buffet room was also very busy, but...
