Hotel provided great hospitality. Upon registration, the desk clerk came around the counter to formally greet me. The hotel manager as well. Beautiful suite and amenities within hotel. The executive lounge provided excellent food choices. Hotel is one block from metro station to airport and Disney as well as one block from shopping district. Great location and excellent hotel. A dated hotel that seems popular for conferences. Adequate service and good sized rooms but nothing special. Breakfast buffet was poor quality. The Chinese options were oddly limited and not well prepared. Indian food was better flavored.

Booked family suite, decent room size, well appointed and everything works perfectly. Comes with living room, bedroom, walk in wardrobe, toilet and powder room. Bed was comfy, requested for firm pillow as i find their pillow too soft. Service wise, upon reaching the lobby, no staff/bell boy come forward to assist with my luggages. I had to wave them before...

Stayed for 9 nights. Clean, excellent service, many English speaking personnel was a big plus. Even those that didn't know much English managed to be very helpful. Great service at restaurants and bars inside the hotel. I'd stay here again.

Hadn't been to Shanghai in a several years and wanted a Marriott close to the city center and near places we wanted to visit. The location was perfect and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The concierge lounge was our place for breakfast and even dinner during most of our stay as the food was excellent. If you get...

The hotel is ideally located for walking be it down to the Bund (roughly 15 minutes) or other locations. The staff was cordial and very helpful and serviced the rooms in a prompt and professional fashion while always leaving a fresh stock of complementary water bottles. The bar on the first floor has a wide assortment of drinks and the...

Each time I visit Shanghai I must stay at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre. This trip I had some downtime during my business meeting. Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
