Something about the service standards makes this hotel my must-stay in Shanghai. Check in is polite and detailed, with some water to quench the thirst from airport. Turndown service makes sense, a napkin for when you step into bed, remote control by your bed and bottle of water by the bed. Location is good with people's square metro 5 minutes...

This hotel is close to the Bund and Nanjing road so depending on what brings you to Shanghai, I think it's a good central location. The hotel is what you'd expect from a full service Marriott . . . great service, nice rooms, and an exceptional concierge level for gold and platinum members. It's also connected to a couple coffee...

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
