We stayed in the ensuite rooms. Rooms may be a bit basic but are clean and bathrooms good. The downstairs communal and outside areas are great - chilled out, relaxed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nearest metro is about ten minutes walk, but easy to...More
I cannot fault this place at all. For the money, and compared to other places in China I stayed, this was my favourite. I got a private room with private bathroom and it was perfect. The bar/restraunt area has a great feel to it and...More
I stayed here for 3 nights, and must say that I felt a bit misled by the 'glowing' reviews of this hostel on TripAdvisor.
To be very honest, the location isn't exactly central to anywhere, it takes 10-15 min to walk to any Metro station,...More
Would stay again. Great common area, with restaurant/bar and pool table. Private room very small - large luggage a squeeze. Bed comfortable, shower good! Reception staff friendly and helpful. Good location - short walk to metro.
Ended up staying here longer than planned. Great hostel, far enough away from Nanjing road to be out of central Shanghai but easy to hop on the subway and be there within 20 mins. Would recommend to everyone!
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious
restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.
