have experienced a nice stay in the hotel and really a nice time to get a good view in the room to see the Jiang'An district. Also the reception has a nice welcome smile on his face and made a quick check-in process.

What a fantastic hotel in Shanghai!! We were fortunate to get a corner view room on the 38th floor - we do recommend the club, as the views are fantastic! The happy hour was wonderful and the breakfast offered something for everyone. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. For the New Year they had festivities/entertainment which made it...

Ok location not too far away from everything in Shanghai. The staff is friendly and helpfull. I fot upgraded to a suite on 30th floor. The room is a bit dated and could you some update on furniture, colors, etc. Feels like last time it was furbished was in the 90's. Executive lounge on 38th floor offers good breakfast choice,...

I signed up for one of those view rooms. Big mistake. They all seem to share a wall with the elevators. No similar rooms available and no upgrades, so they gave me a smaller room on a higher floor. Not a great outcome. The executive area was ok. Breakfast there was not great but not bad. View was really nice...

This is my favorite hotel in Shanghai. May not be the newest hotel, but it makes up for it in service and guest comfort. Nice rooms, excellent spa and gym facilities and the absolute best staff in the industry. All staff speak excellent English and are well trained in both Asian and Western cultures. Excellent location for both shopping and...

My background - I travel 10 days per month all around the world. I have many hotel experiences BUT THIS IS THE WORST. Supposedly, I was getting a real good rate. The problem is that the room was very old and dated. Dark and dank. The carpet was so old I was honestly afraid to walk in my bare feet....

In my absence, however, I arranged for Penny Qui, who is not my assistant but...

The Shanghai Hilton is a beautiful hotel, the staff was very helpful, and the rooms were great. The hotel location is within walking distance to many great dining and night life locations. I would certainly stay there again.

I booked this hotel for a business trip based on the Hilton Honors description indicating that it was near attractions, shopping and dining. While that is true, I was disappointed that the area lacked restaurants with international cuisine and the area is very congested with traffic. There is a Subway sandwich shop near the Jing' an temple so that was...

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
