The Marriott Hongqiao is a great home away from home when in Shanghai for business travelers. Out of the centre of town, there's not a local area to explore for restaurants or cages, but it's very comfortable and has excellent service. Starbucks nearby fills the coffee craving and offers a selection for lunch at work.

Excellent location and facilities, far enough away from downtown Shanghai and close to markets and restaurants. Room standard excellent with all the mod cons. Food and service excellent. Had a pool but did use. The local pub area inside the hotel was excellent for a meal and drink.

All of us had the same pleasant surprise that for the money we were paying, it was practically a steal. The people were friendly and efficient. Will be staying there again in September. This was my second trip where I stayed at the Shanghai Marriott near the Pudong. My first trip I felt was average and typical of any Marriott in a big city in Asia Pacific. They have a very nice restaurant including a very large breakfast buffet and service in the morning, a very nice 24 hour access fitness facility, access...

Good service from concierge, front desk to room service. Cantonese restaurant serves fine food, fortunately it is gone. Manhattan bar serves good steak. Wide range of food in the cafe - breakfast. Many others restaurant nearby the hotel. Location wise, it is nearer to Songjiang area as compare to Puxi. Walking distance to subway and international clinic.

While not at the city center, this extrememly comfortable location offered all we would expect in any major hotel in a major world center. The rooms spacious and comfortable, a staff eager to accomodate, work out center that kept our time travel fatigue to a minimum, conference rooms that met our every need. And restuarants that gave you a choice...
