I stayed here in November 2016 for 4 nights while on business trip. I chose this hotel as I found the location walking distance from my office address. But I was very disappointed with the hotel on a whole. The room was very small with just a single bed in the room, hardly any place to walk, no place to... More

Hotel was fine, got there taking subway from Pudong to East Nanjing stop. Was close to Bund as was there for the marathon. Room was clean, non-smoking, and bathroom was high end. Five or six English channels on the television. Neighborhood is a little rough, got propositioned on front steps of hotel.

The Bund Hotel is definitely well located, close to the Bund and the subway. The rooms are clean but the decor is a bit old-fashioned. Service is on the average level and the staff don't speak English very well. I tried to connect to the wifi which supposed to be free but I couldn't and the ladies at the reception... More

We enjoyed three night stay at this modern hotel. The room was large and well fitted out. We stayed on the twentieth floor so it was very quiet. Bathroom amenities were both modern and clean. Beds were comfortable. Free wifi provided. Handy to local shops and restaurants. Breakfast was ample and included all selections one could possibly require. Highly recommended.

We were on the 20th floor which helped with any street noise. we could not hear anyone in the adjoining rooms or folks in the hallways! Very pleased with the breakfast. I had soup that the chef could add the ingredients you wanted to while you waited. There was an excellent choice of what I would call "lunch" fare along... More

Overall a good hotel in a good location. it is easy to get around Shanghai from here, walking distance to The Bund, close to the metro and easy to find. The hotel is a little "tired" and more rooms should be made non-smoking, breakfast was a plentiful buffet and pretty good and the hotel staff were very good, if it... More

The Hotel is well located to be able to walk to the Bund or to the Shanghai Museum - both well worth the time to get to. Also walking distance to Nanjing St. The hotel was selected by our tour organisation - China Highlights and we were very happy with the hotel. Breakfast was eclectic and there was something for... This hotel has a blend of modern and traditional that was very nice. Our room was on the 19th floor with a great view of the area. However, the bed was rock hard, the shower did not give more than a trickle of water at certain points of the day, and judging by the fingerprints on the windows and the... More

Although I was working in the Pudong area, I was pleased to be staying here. The overall best thing is the location of this hotel. At first I was not so sure, because it did not seem right on the Bund, in spite of its name The Bund is 15 mins walk away. But it has good all round access... More

Enjoyed a 3 night stay at this very conveniently located hotel, short walk to the Bund and the pedestrian shopping street. Very comfortable bed with exquisite bed linen. The room had well placed power points with iron and ironing board supplied. The tea and coffee provisions could have been better and there was no port rack in the room. Breakfast... More

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
