This hotel is cheap and the staff worked really hard to be nice, friendly and helpful. A ride into the town centre is only a 15 minute taxi ride. However, the rooms were only so so. It felt more like a love hotel. There are better hotels available but you will need to spend a bit more. For the RMB400... More

Good location, breakfast simple but delicious. Most of the staffs cannot speak English but very helpful and friendly. Rooms are arrange by theme, small room but well equipped. I was very surprise that they have 3D glass for movie in room, with big screen and projector. Been there for business in Nov 2014

I was on a business trip. Hotel Mehood was conveniently located near my business venue. Checkin is a little slow but no major complaints about that. One needs to speak putonghua otherwise conversations over the counter will be difficult. Refreshing cup of Chinese tea is offered while waiting to be served at the reception. Room is very nicely decorated with... More

Stay for 2 nights and found the room clean and tidy. While not a very big room it is suitable for 2 people . The bed was soft and cosy, generally beds in China are hard. The widow opened which allowed freash air in and as l was on the 18th floor the street noise was minimal. We had our... More

The hotel offers in the lobby drink refreshment in the evening. The reception is so small, there is no way that they can cater for groups check in. Another minus - no receptionist spoke English, so when we wanted to sort out problems with A/C, we had to ask our tour guide, however even then it was not solved. I... More

Having travelled through China for four weeks in October we experienced some really good hotels - this was however by far the worst! We actually wondered if the reviews we had read on Trip Advisor were of a different hotel, but it was not so! The location is poor with little near the hotel of any interest. Small reception on... We stayed here for 3 nights. Overall a great experience. The front desk staff were helpful. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. Rooms were nice and clean. Rooms included two free bottles of water, a mini bar, large bathroom with bathtub, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, handcream. TV was alright with BBC and HBO in English. Very nice hotel with good service.

I took a chance on this newly opened (last oct) property when I was last in Shanghai. The room I had (1717) was more like a suite! It was spacious, clean and quiet. And, at around $56 USD including a buffet breaky, was good value. The only real downside for me is it's location. It is not near the subway... More
