We landed in San Jose and drove directly to Tacacori. The relief we felt upon arrival was immense and not just because we drove through rush our, but because we realized that we had gotten what we were hoping for. The lodge made us feel that Costa Rica was going to be great. Secluded but not too far off the...

Tacacori was a gorgeous oasis on the outskirts of San Jose. There are only 4 cottages at this eco-lodge, and each is set in a private, beautiful, lush garden. After the long flight to San Jose and going through customs, etc., it was heavenly to arrive at this spot. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the lovely, private patio...

Amazing grounds, nice rooms, great breakfast. It's a great place to stay for a few nights when your flying in or out. It's only a 20 minute drive to the airport. And if you stay here make sure you go to xandari resort next door for lunch or supper, you won't be disappointed!

All in all we spent 4 nights at Tacacori ecolodge and we felt like home. Nadine, the owner, is such a wonderful person. She made us feel like family and was always available and helpful. The gardens are lush and full of birds. The casita ' s are all beautiful and very clean. The shower is better than at home. It...

Friendly service, decent breakfast and private bungalows in a Costa Rica of your mind setting. Rooms have little amenities outside of a fridge, warm shower and patio and the lighting can be a bit dim so a headlamp may help, it will also help on your walk to the nearest restaurant (Xandari) down the hill (this walk is not for...

We stayed here one night, the final night of our week in Costa Rica with a flight early the following morning. The owner, Nadine, met us when we arrived that evening, and led us down a landscaped path to our room/bungalow. We had to leave the hotel at 5am the next morning, so she prepared us a breakfast that we...

We had read great reviews of Tacacori EcoLodge and it was even better than the reviews. Patrick met us at the airport and drove us to the beautiful Tacacori. Our casita was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was elegant. We enjoyed the private patio outside our casita, looking out on the lush garden. Breakfast on the main patio featured fresh...

Patrick and Nadine, a French couple, warmly welcomed us in their full comfort EcoLodge. To be eco friendly does not mean bypassing the comfort. Large and well-lit rooms and bathrooms, very comfortable beds and chairs, each room having its patio with long chairs and view on a puzzling & beautiful garden, tasteful breakfasts with local fruits, … It’s great to...

Lush! Our only regret was it rained during our stay making the room seem damp. Oh well. That's Costa Rica. The owners are lovely and really helpful. The grounds are breathtaking. Breakfast was wonderful.

Dear Teri, Thank you so much for your nice review. I am delighted to read that you liked our lodge, especially the garden and our tropical/continental breakfast. You are completely right to mention there where a lot of humidity when you came in November. Costa Rica has two seasons: summer (verano – December through April) and winter (invierno – May...
