We actually thought we were staying closer to San Jose, but chose this place based on our friend's recommendation. It is just beautiful. We were given room 20 which at first glance seemed okay, but it had no wifi,no curtain, a small bathroom and a very chilly feeling. We asked for another room and got a room closer to the...

We stopped here for our last night in Costa Rica on our way back to the airport in San Juan. Facility was outstanding and the spa was incredible! The architecture was wonderful, even IN the rooms, and the grounds are amazing. Treatments we received at the spa were first class luxury in private little cabana style huts open to the...

So this year would be the third time we have begun and ended our Costa Rica vacation at Xandari. It is that perfect. I always phone reservations and speak with Lucy who handles the booking so efficiently and emails the confirmation. Seems like each time we get a different type of villa but honestly they are all private and the...

This resort and spa located within a half hour of San Juan airport and is a great way to start or end a trip to Costa Rica. We ended our trip to the Osa Peninsula with three relaxing days at Xandari. We enjoyed hiking to the waterfalls on the beautifully, manicured grounds. The gardens captured the diversity of flora in...

Luxury and beauty located high in the hills overlooking the central valley where San Jose lies. About 2500 feet above the city. The views are great during the day, spectacular at night with the city lights. Units Units 21 through 27 are newer and better. Loyal staff, some there for the entire 14 years this place has been open. The...

We booked this for 2 nights on arrival, to recover from the long flight before our 14 day 6 centre trip around Costa Rica - it was perfect. Close to the airport but in the hills with relaxing surroundings. It takes just 20 mins from the airport - ideal as our flight arrived late at night. [It is also on...

The cottage was very comfortable and beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful. Our view was spectacular. It was great to spend the morning sipping coffee and enjoying the view of mountains, volcanoes, and San Jose. The pool was definitely my favorite place! Swimming there you feel a bit like a celebrity on the hills of Hollywood ☺ The hikes were...

As many others seemed to do, we booked this hotel for 1 night before our early flight out of San Jose. But this hotel deserves more than just 1 night. We which we could have stayed longer. Rooms are massive. We had a basic room. But nothing was basic about it: spacious, big terrace with fantastic views, 2 sunloungers. Coffee...

A quick detour from a business trip which meant i could escape to Costa Rica for a couple of days for a rest...2 nights in a beautiful mountainside resort complex recommended by business colleague who booked everything for me through their local office. Well-designed and somewhat garishly colourful (though unique) individual villas laid out with privacy and views over the...

This is a beautiful property. We hiked to the waterfall and felt the workout. The restaurant has an impressive view and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It is a place to relax in luxury. The infinity pool overlooks the city. Spend some time there.
