Hotel Mango Valley is absolutely amazing. Nestled in the mountains of Costa Rica, it’s small with only 7 “rooms”/cabins. Javier the caretaker is extremely friendly and attentive. He’ll help you order take out if you want and provides excellent guides for tours. The scenery was s gorgeous and cooked to order breakfast every morning. We’ll be back
Beautiful and quiet location and property. Very clean, well maintained cabins looking over a beautiful valley of coffee farms! Breakfasts were excellent! Host Javier is the BEST!!!! Helped us out greatly with a private matter and gave excellent recommendations on local sights/tours!!
Hotel Mango Valley was the perfect place for us to start our stay in Costa Rica before travelling further around the country. The hotel managers Javier and Jose-Luis were really friendly and spoke perfect English, putting us at ease and making us feel very welcome during our stay. The bungalows were really nice, and the views from our balcony were amazing, exactly as they are portrayed in the pictures! Their grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the infinity pool was lovely. They provide a nice breakfast, but it is probably best to do your research of the general area beforehand in order to find lunch and dinner options. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and thought it was really nice.
We stayed here just for one night, but overall, we were very impressed with the room and pool. The pool was infinity style and had great views! The hotel offers take out services from nearby restaurants. This was a great spot to stay on the way to the blue waterfalls.
Hotel Mango Valley couldn't have been more perfect for us. It gave us a quiet home-base during our extraordinary holiday, where we fell asleep and woke up to the sound of exotic birds. The location was just gorgeous, and host Javier was extremely helpful each and every day, from doling out tips on things to do, to making sure we had everything we needed for our adventures. Because there are only 7 cabins, there's always just the right amount of people there, and it provides an intimate setting to meet and chat with fellow travellers. This is an ideal hotel for those who plan to rent a car and explore Costa Rica. You're never too far from some important sites (Poas, La Paz, San José, Jaco, etc.), and if your adventure ends early that day, you can have a quick dip in the pool that overlooks the valley. The rooms are comfortable, and the kitchen allowed us to make our own meals when we wanted to. There are also several restaurants that will deliver to the hotel, and Javier is happy to help with that. We couldn't have been happier with this place, and we strongly recommend it to travellers who rented a car and plan to be mobile during their trip.…
