We loved staying at Vagabondo. The back room by the pool was awesome. One of the best value hotels that we found in all of costa rica on our trip. The free breakfast was great, and the rooms were very clean. We miss Vagabondo!

My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights last year around Xmas. This was a good budget option given the busy tourist season around that time. The property is pretty and well kept with a small garden, pool, common areas, an in house pizzeria and gift shop. The rooms are on the smaller side but adequate. The staff is...

I was very pleasantly surprised by the room here, for a budget hotel in Costa Rica it was quite nice. They advertise come a stranger and leave a friend, and I do feel that the entire staff had that attitude they were gracious and friendly. The owner told us from the beginning, MI casa es su casa. and it was...

We stayed here for 5 nights in Jan 2015 as part of a 21 day trip around Costa Rica. We were backpacking for 3 weeks and trying to keep costs under control in what is a very expensive country (for UK tourists). Room - we had one facing the small pool and was a decent size, clean and the bathroom...

Two of us stayed here for three nights in early November. It was a good deal for the price we paid ($55 per night), but the bugs in the room and the discoteque/late night restaurant next door made me rethink my stay at times. I wouldn't mind staying here again next time I visit Arenal but would definitely look into...

My husband and I stayed at Vagabondo for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The rooms are clean and the beds are super comfortable with nice linens and pillows. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was great. We had pizza and it was very good. Even though it is right on the main road, there was no...

My sister and I went on an 8 day costa rican vacation together. We are budget conscious but didn't want to end up at one of the hostels in la fortuna , our shared dorm party days are over but we still need a decent price. Hotel vagabondo was perfect for us. The room was clean had ac and opened...

My brief stay at Hotel Vagabondo has been my worst accommodation experience to date after 6 months travelling through Central America. I made a reservation in good faith according to what their website had advertised, but found the hotel did not provide the services it promised. There was no WiFi when I arrived, although they did fix it a few...

The hotel is a 15-20 min walk from downtown La Fortuna, which is a pretty good location, since it's not as noisy or crowded. The room (number 8) I got was a tad bit small and only fit a bed and a nightstand. But the facilities were pretty clean. One concern I had was that, since all of the rooms...

We stayed at Hotel Vagabondo for two nights. It was a great little spot and breakfast is included. There's a little pool in the back, which was perfect as it was really hot out. The room we had did not have AC (they do have AC rooms) but the fan over the bed was fine. The hotel is a few...
