Travellers' Choice
The Park Princess of the Moon Ecolodge is nestled in a lush tropical plant farm with a great location. This magical place is unusual, with more than 100 types of fruit trees, including many threatened and endangered species. The area is one of the most biodiverse and fertile in the world so wonderful to understand, observe and experience wildlife and nature. The aim is to integrate the principles of permaculture and creating a lifestyle self-sufficient and sustainable in harmony with the local biodiversity. Swimming pools, waterfalls, jacuzzi and many hiking trails on the farm as well as many other activities in the area. This is an interesting place for a honeymoon or a romantic adventure.

Princesa de la Luna Ecolodge is a wonderful home from home in the Arenal Forest area. William and Luis (owner and son) are incredibly warm and open hosts. The facilities are clean and basic. Making tis an ideal place to relax and connect to the beautiful nature all around you. I was here as part of a group on a retreat, and we had a wonderful experience, the food is delicious and the hosts ever so accommodating! Highly recommend for large groups!

I came to La Fortuna with some friends for a quiet getaway. This lodge was a great fit. Just up the hill from the lodge is an awesome lookout over La Fortuna, and they have their own waterfall near by too. Relaxing place to chill out, away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help with everything, super welcoming. We didn't have a car but they booked us taxis whenever we needed, which was great because wasnt many ubers in La fortuna. My advice would be grab the number of the drivers you do use because it was alot faster that way.

Lovely retreat in the middle of the rain forest. William is an incredibly skilled, hard working and beyond generous host. Louis was always right there waiting to help. The food was phenomenal and the location is close by all the fun things you could do in that area. Wonderful place. Thank you William!

Everyone was so nice and we had amazing meals served by them everyday. The hikes were great and I felt immersed in Costa Rican culture! Super nice dogs and a cat too! Definitely do the guided water fall hike - loved watching toucans as eating breakfast!

We had a wonderful time at this ecolodge. There is a trail ("Tucan Trail") next to the property, where you can hike to a waterfall and natural pools in the jungle. For free! We've spent half a day just discovering the area. We saw so many animals; you can even watch them while eating at the dining area. There is no kitchen for self-cooking accessable, and the food was actually quite pricey. However, it was delicious! The staff is very friendly. We had especially great conversations with Louis, a young member of the staff, who will probably take care of you when you choose to stay - which you should! Having a car is recommendable, since otherwise you'd have to take a taxi/Uber to the city center of La Fortuna each time (possible though), or hike 1 hour (minimum) one-way. Our stay here was outstanding; even after many more accomodation-experiences within our 2 months in Costa Rica, this ecolodge stands out.
