Well worth the price tag! Getting here is definitely an adventure in of itself but has everything you need once you're here: Elegant restaurant/bar with a pool table, beautiful lounge area, small souvenir shop, infinity pool & 2 adjacent jacuzzis overlooking Arenal, a gym, computer w/ internet access, sauna, tour-booking service, laundry, and HOT WATER! Only downside: no/limited wifi in...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

The staff was fabulous. We arrived two hours early and they welcomed us right away and worked to find us rooms. The rooms (we had the chalets) were wonderful. Comfortable, big, small fridge, amazing views. The grounds had their own great trails and there is a good restaurant right there. Nice pool, little bar. Very quiet. It was close to...

I showed up at this hotel late the first night, disheveled and exhausted after over 20 hours of travel. The proprietress (I cannot remember her name, sorry) immediately came over and helped me. She even upgraded my room. I spent three nights here in total. This hotel is beautiful. The location is 20 minutes outside of La Fortuna (although it's...

We had such an amazing time! I don't see how anyone could complain about being here- it's called a lodge NOT a luxury resort so take that into consideration when booking and you will not be disappointed. The views were fantastic, gorgeous grounds and we had so much fun with the staff. The trip activities coordinator made everything simple and...

I had planed to experience The Arenal region from this lodge... but did not leave the hotel! 2 lovely bush trails surround the property- the pool has breathtaking views of the Volcanoe- the horse excursión that they offered took you through the incredible property... the staff are CHARMING and the meals excellent price-quality ratio! I stayed in the standard rooms...

The hotel itself is designed beautifully, with large, impressive rooms overlooking stunning gardens. It has more conventional rooms as well as separate rooms in little houses. We lived in a standard room, which had decent sized beds, a balcony, tables, etc. all nice and quaintly designed. The one issue was that sound insulation between the rooms was very, very poor....

Feb 22, 2017 My husband and I were in love with this place. All the staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. We stayed in the chalets which woke up us up to the most beautiful sunrises 🌅. The food at the restaurant was excellent and breakfast was the same but great. It is a 10 min...

It was our first time in Costa Rica, and we booked Hotel Arenal Lodge without a very good idea of how far it was from La Fortuna and attractions in that area. We arrived there very late, and our shuttle entered the property and made its way up the hilly tracks to the lodge. There are no lights/nothing you can...

We stayed four nights in one of the chalets at Arenal Lodge, and it was one of the most memorable parts of our Costa Rica vacation. Each chalet has an upper and lower unit, and both units have a wall of windows showcasing the Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal. In the mornings, the volcano's top was usually hidden by clouds,...

This place is more of a 3 star hotel than a luxury tourist hotel. It's kinda rustic and shabby around the edges, maybe 10 years overdue a major redecoration or renovation in the rooms and main hotel area. It needs new wi-if servers for the chalets on the top of the hill. Some folks may be disappointed at the lack...
