Only stayed for 2 nights. Thank goodness. Nothing much to do in the evening no lounge and only bar was the pool bar. Advertised to close at 10pm but don't expect to get served anything other than beer after 9.30. Even then you will be made to feel uncomfortable as they clean and restock around you. Hot springs and pool good, breakfast OK. Nothing else sampled.

Beautiful resort with a very impressive pool complex. The grounds were very well kept and I enjoyed just walking around. The pools were very enjoyable and the pictures do not really do justice to how large the pool complex is. Also enjoyed a couple of meals on-site. Wish the resort had more staff monitoring the pool area, as there were no lifeguards or other staff in the area except those working the bar/restaurant.

The service there is just horrible. We arrived there at 11.00 pm (we informed them about it in advance) and we had to carry our own luggage all the way to the top of the mountain when there was no lights or anything- the excuse from then was that the bus is only available from 6am-10pm. At the same time our friend were given a room down the hill. Food there is terrible as well. Not even worth trying. Good thing about the hotel is the view that they have. The pool area has hot springs and pool bar.

We stayed for 4 nights and was satisfied with the stay! Rooms were dated but very clean. We had enough space for all our family. Fridge was a plus. Internet available in the room. All shows in Spanish but we were fine with using our phones/iPads for entertainment. The regular swimming pool was great with kid and adult slide. It’s not heated but plenty of pool space. My 5yo could touch the ground in both pools. I didn’t realIze the thermal pool access came with my stay so I was pleasantly surprised and cancelled my other thermal pool ticket to another resort. There were so many thermal pools and they were great/clean and there were privates ones also. The swim up bar was perfect for drinks and lunch. Breakfast buffet was filled with many options: traditional breakfast, pastries, drinks, fruits, meat/cheese. We did not eat dinner on site. Location: we had a room that was far from the restaurant and pools but we drove down all the time. They also have a shuttle that goes around to pick up people. The hotel was basically at the base of the volcano. They had a viewing point which you could walk/drive to. The road was a bit rough for a sedan. Unfortunately we went in dec when there was a lot of clouds/rain so we never saw the top of the volcano. We were 10 mins from the town and we had dinner there as well as most of our tours. We would definitely stay again!

STUNNING property. Spent a whole day exploring the gorgeous gardens with butterflies, poison dart frogs, ant hills, hot springs, pools, water slides, bar, and a volcano observatory (just don’t do the observatory hike after doing your makeup for pics thinking it’s a quick stroll haha we were miserable walking uphill in the heat but got lucky when Alberto the shuttle driver saved us and even showed us some cool places on the property while taking awesome group pics of us!). We never wanted to leave!! Cute touches by housekeepers too
