Spent a few nights during the rainy season but that didn't matter. We never wanted to leave the resort. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are spacious, the food in the restaurant is excellent. Watch the clouds come and go, the volcano disappearing and reappearing, all from your personal hot tub or the springs.

This is a nice hotel a couple of miles from the city La Fortuna. While we were there rained day and night except for 1 hour of beautiful sun that we used to dip in the thermal waters of the property. Just a handful of guests were there. Room was clean with great view of garden, and I suppose you...

In August, we booked a room for two nights in preparation for our late October arrival and paid up front. Less than a week before leaving for Costa Rica, we received an email from the hotel stating they were going to be undergoing renovations and were cancelling our reservations. Obviously this put us in a position where we had to...

Dear Jeremy, We understand your position. First, in our hotel, there is not the possibility of last minute cancellations. The situation presented in October, was for reasons beyond our control. We prefer to advise our guests in time, to avoid major problems in their trips. Because we were able to solve the problems, we try to contact them in order...

We arrived at the Volcano Lodge & Springs via rental car (from San José with a detour to Zarcero, which has a very cool topiary garden in its square). Check in at the front desk at the entrance was fairly quick. It was low season (end of October), so the Lodge didn't have many guests, which was a bonus for...

Lodges have privat parking, a hal, big room, seperat bathroom, with shower (warm water) and a patio which faces to tho vulcano Fortuna. We had room 207. Restaurant was...

Great resort with wonderful views of Arenal Volcano! Room was clean and nice sized. Bathroom was also very clean, had a hairdryer and stocked with toiletries. Each room (as far as I could tell) has a door to a nice covered porch with chairs and a table and privacy walls separating you from the room next door. The landscaping is...

The staff is friendly and the lodge has beautiful grounds, but the rooms were full of bugs and not so clean. I like the private porch the rooms have and the wooden chairs. They also have a great breakfast buffet!
