This was the second stop on our honeymoon in Costa Rica and one I was really looking forward to. My wife was expecting basic accommodation and I was just excited to be up in the tree canopy with the wildlife of Costa Rica. On arrival we were blown away by the quality of accommodation and we even had A/C :)...

My daughter and I tried to book 3 nights here, but could only get two, and I was so sorry we couldn't have stayed longer! We were in Costa Rica for 2 weeks, stayed in 5 different places, and this was hands down our favorite! The grounds were beautiful - we saw as many birds, insects and various animals on...

A nice secluded room perched thirty feet above the jungle floor. It's like being alone in the middle of the jungle. No other buildings were in sight from our perch. Staff is super friendly and helpful to ensure you enjoy your stay. The only less than ideal feature is its near proximity to the highway. The noise from some of...

Tree Houses Hotel lived up to all my expectations. I can't wait to come back; it was the highlight of our trip. My only regret is not having stayed longer. First, the property is gorgeous. The treehouses are surrounded by a gorgeous forest that is alive with the sounds and sights of nature. One could just simply sit on the...

This was the most unique and amazing place we have ever stayed. We stayed in the Yiguirro house which was very spacious and private. It had wrap around decking with a cup of tea/coffee waiting for us in the morning before breakfast, which was also really good. Mark and Lucy made us feel very welcome and were very knowledgeable and...

The Tree Houses Hotel is a pretty cool place. The location is amazing, private and an enchanted feel. We rented the Frog unit and had a very pleasant experience. There were 4 of us with back packs for luggage and it was tight but the kids loved their little hide away "upstairs". The breakfast was delicious and the hummingbirds were...

We absolutely loved staying at the Treehouses, not to mention how excited our children have been to live in a real treehouse. Mark was very helpful, even before our arrival, and also helped to organize great trip to Cano Negro. Lucy was very kind to come and let us know about sloth hanging around, so we got to see it...

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved every minute. The tree houses themselves were very comfortable and have everything you need. We were able to see howler monkeys and beautiful birds from our balcony. We were luckily enough to have a bat colony in the roof of our tree house which we loved so much, we absolutely adored them...

This review is long overdue, as we stayed there in August 2012. But I told Mark & Lucy I would do it, so better late than never. There were 3 of us (all adults) in the Yiguirro, and we loved it! Pre- arrival: Emails were answered quickly & thoroughly. Reservation process is easy. Mark also helped us book our canopy...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tree Houses Hotel is a bed and breakfast hotel conveniently located off the main road that runs through La Fortuna and around the Arenal Volcano. We are a short 25 minute drive to the high tourist area. People seek us out with that in mind, to be away from it all but close enough to enjoy all the fun adventure the La Fortuna, Arenal Volcano area has to offer. We have just 5 tree houses (each very private) on 8 acres and we are surrounded by a 70 acre wildlife refuge with a waterfall, pools to swim and a beautiful river. Each tree house features A/C, warm water showers, refrigerators and safes. There are few hotels like this in the world and none other in Costa Rica.
