We stayed at this hotel in August for two nights. It is a typical no frills Tico hotel. The price was right for our budget. Each of the rooms is a separate cabin with a little porch as well. There is plenty of shrubbery and flowers around which the hummingbirds love. The view of Arenal from the pool is fantastic.... More

We stayed at Villa Vista Arenal for two nights and had an okay experience. On the outside, the cabins look beautiful, but inside are obviously unkempt and neglected. Our cabin had termites in the walls of the bathroom and had clearly not been deep cleaned in some time. The beds were uncomfortable too. The owner/manager seemed lazy and treated our... More

We are group 14 peoples. Terrible, horrible. On bedlines is hairs looks like used before, dirty, rooms not clean, everywhere are dust, no hangers, non possible to put everything, somewhere hasn't a lamps, no glases, must improve and clean so hard. Looks like cheap hostel. Very disappointing and unsatisfied.

Once we got the door open after many many tries we found an egg sack of bugs crawling around the pillow. We inform the staff of this issue and he shook the comforter off and gave us a new one, without changing the sheets, and then sprayed bug killer all over that corner of the room. Throughout the night we... More

The hotel is well located, walking distance from the quite unimpressive little town of La Fortuna. On a clear day you have a great view of the volcano from the very nice and well kept garden. The cabins are very basic, the bathrooms definitely needs an update. Good AC and ok wifi tho. Do not bring any food into the... More

We arrived as part of the G adventure tour, it's about 1km out of the town, so a 15 min walk into the town center. The rooms are basic, it has fridge and tv, however all the rooms we had were unkempt and dirty. One smelt like cigarette smoke, another smelt like puke, others were dirty. They had some workers... A little round bungalow - 3 beds (2 double and one single), a huge bathroom and a pool with a view to the Arenal Volcano. Free breakfast thrown in too. Our room was close to the main road and there did seem to be a lot of noisy motorbikes on the road at night. The staff were all very helpful... More

We were in Costa Rica visiting friends who live here, we were unable to book at the hot pool resorts and found this place on the Internet for $50/night. We arrived at dusk, and when we checked into the room it cost $92/night and were unable use our Visa even though they indicate this is an acceptable form of payment.... More

This was not a pleasant experience. Cobwebs, rats, cockroaches, AC that doesn't work, limited hot water, uncomfortable beds (broken), etc etc. owner did not see any problem. The Internet rate was $50.US but I was charged $80. While people driving up paid $35. We also got really ripped off on the exchange rate. We paid for. A tour $60. US... More
