Casa Luna Hotel & Spa is close to the Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna Waterfall, surrounded by the Cerro Chato Hill and Cerro los Perdidos mountain. Giving us an outstanding peace and harmony. Our distinctive "touch" is provided by the architectural harmony around the hotel. This colonial and rustic architecture has been reached with the delicious combination between wood, metal, color and wall texture, complemented with beautiful accessories. We offer personalized service beyond excellence to exceed your expectations.

This hotel was perfect for our first time in Costa Rica. Traveled as a couple, the double room was quaint, clean, and plenty of space for 2. Hotel pool and jacuzzi's were very relaxing. The food & drinks from the pool bar and on-site restaurant were good, nothing special. Hotel

This hotel has beautiful gardens, an excellent pool, four hot tubs to choose from, really helpful staff (especially at Reception) and the location is fine. So what's not to like? Breakfast! Cold vegetables, lousy cereal, insipid jam, a queue for the egg chef, maybe because

We stayed here 2 nights at a cost of $285.00 USD ($143.00/night). The rooms are like a 4 plex with 2 rooms on ground floor and 2 on the second floor. We had the second floor room with a big balcony looking at the volcano. The rooms weren't overly spacious but defiantly were big

Welcoming. Staff are invariably helpful and friendly. The restaurant is great and offers a good selection of Costa Rican food (as well as more international dishes. The pool area with secluded jacuzzis is lovely. But the wonder is the garden - you’ll probably see a greater

Check Arenal Mundo adventura is you want to zip line or rappel. They have several combos. We did full day w/them - included hike down to waterfall (more strenuous thru their property than the regular trail down to the waterfall on other side, then zip line, then rappel, more zip lines, then hokey horseback ride out. Great tour but strenuous. We also booked rafting thru hotel- desafio rafting. They did a great job. Mysticism hanging bridges on our own. Pura vida!

The first part of the road from Casa Luna Hotel, La Fortuna, Costa Rica to Montverde, Costa Rica is in fairly good condition up to the city called Tilaran which is about halfway in terms of time between Fortuna and Montverde. After Tilaran the road is drivable but very rocky and bad and one could only drive about 25-30 miles per hour. If you are renting a car, get an SUV with a high clearance. There are signs that if followed would take you to Montverde. But one has to pay close attention to these signs because it's not exactly like the markings in the United States. Again like I said earlier, it's drivable but very bad. I am going back again in April of this year. I enjoyed it so much last year and I am sure you will too.
