We often saw toucans in the trees from our upper floor room. A spacious modern clean room with garden views and the volcano. Super quiet, only noise was the animals really. Breakfast served 7 to 9am but you can go from 6.45 if you have...More
We stayed here with our 2 kids (10 and 13 years old). The rooms are very nice. We had a nice balcony. However, the view to the Arenal volcano was hidden by trees.
Pool was really nice and our kids enjoyed it. Jacuzzis exist, however,...More
Nice small place. The rooms are nice and the public area is well kept. Off the beaten road but not hard to get to. Our tours picked us up from the hotel. They have some intimate hot tubs that are nice after a full day...More

You could walk, but as one person noted, there are no sidewalks and the walk into La Fortuna will be a longer one. I would recommend just paying for a taxi if you are going into town. It's really inexpensive, and gets you there in a fraction of the time. Plus, there is a taxi stand in the center of town (around a small, square park) where you can easily grab another inexpensive taxi ride back to Casa Luna.
