I cannot say enough good things about the Nayara resort complex. This was the second time we have stayed at Nayara Gardens, and it was even more amazing than we remembered. There is a reason it is one of the best hotels in the world. You have access to all three facilities on the property, unless you have kids with you. Kids are not allowed at the adult pool, the quiet pool, and one restaurant. We traveled without our kids, so we spent most of our time at the adult pool. The staff is top notch. They are so helpful and want to make sure you are totally satisfied. The turn down service at night is my favorite touch. They leave you delicious treats. The food and drinks are so good, which is not always the case at a resort. They were very accommodating to my vegan diet, and they even had the most delicious vegan cake at the coffee shop. I have to give a special mention to Larry, Andrey, and Juan Carlos at the Cielito Linda (adult) pool. They were so attentive the second we arrived at the pool, and the drinks were out of this world. The property itself is the most beautiful place you can imagine. When you are on your balcony, you feel like you are the only person in the entire resort. You will get lots of exercise walking the hills, but you can request a golf cart if you are unable to handle that kind of walk. Get all of your excursions out of the way before you arrive at Nayara, because you are not going to want to leave once you are there. We can't wait to go back. …

We stayed 5 days at Nayara Gardens for part of our Honeymoon. It was fantastic! We wish we had stayed here for the 2nd part of our trip because we were spoiled - 2nd resort just didn't compare! Service was wonderful, food was fantastic (loved the ceviche), and the property was beautiful. Loved the hot springs - I would say better than Tabacon because way more private. 100% recommend this resort and we are definitely planning a trip back.

The absolute best experience we could've asked for! The resort was clean and gave you a true rain forest feel, the food was amazing, and the entire staff was so friendly and spoke excellent English. Melissa from guest services really went the extra mile to make our honeymoon here incredible and truly cared about our experience. Our sommelier/waiter at Amor Loco, Leo, was also amazing. We are already planning our next trip here and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else near Arenal.

My husband and I went to Nayara Gardens for our honeymoon. The resort was absolutely beautiful, from the casita to the Toucan bridge, to the pools, to the Costa Rican flora and fauna. Melissa, our guest service rep, was kind and helpful. She also arranged for Honeymoon champagne, desserts and flowers to be sent to our room! We definitely recommend the 4 course gourmet meal at Amor Loco. It was an unforgettable experience with amazing food and a great sommelier named Leo. We definitely recommend the Nayara’s nature hike, and doing an excursion into the nearby town of Fortuna. Also, we recommend the external tours of Sky Adventure Zip lining and Hanging Bridges. Nayara Gardens was the best way to spend the first week of our marriage!

From the moment my wife and I arrived we had a wonderful time at this hotel. The hotel management upgraded us to a room with a dip pool which was marvellous. The reception staff particularly Alonso were so helpful. My wife discovered she had forgotten her prescribed medication and Alonso was so helpful in contacting Pharmacies and then arranging for us to visit a Doctor to obtain this vital medication as we were at the start of a two week touring holiday in Costa Rica and she required the pills to see us through the trip. As it was her birthday during our stay the extras from the hotel were very much appreciated. The food was really good in all the venues on site and the young lass on the door to meet and greet was also very helpful. A wonderful visit, 3 nights was not enough and we would recommend the hotel and particularly the wonderful staff who went out of their way to find a Sloth for my wife as she had expre4ssed a desire to see one if possible. I don't travel for a living, and I don't write reviews for a magazine or social media. This is a truly heartfelt review of one of the most incredible vacations we've had. A bit long winded, but trust me...I can write a book on this place. Upon Arrival we were greeted by Alonso. He took us to a table in the reception area and went over the check in process. He showed us all of the amenities and excursions available. We were taken to our room in a golf cart, the primary means of transportation within the resort. As soon as we opened the door we were in awe. Our room had a private plunge pool, outdoor shower, mini bar, large indoor shower with 2 showerheads and two sinks. The room was huge. The outdoor area had the plunge pool, a small table with 2 chairs for dining, and two lounge chairs. Separating our room from the rest of the world was beautiful native plants and trees that were visited frequently by native birds. We saw many humming birds feeding while relaxing in the pool. As big as the resort is, with three separate hotels on one property, you really feel as if you have the whole place to yourselves. We were never in a crowded restaurant or bar or even the pools. There are hot springs throughout the property. Some are more secluded than others. There are bridges that cross over open spaces in the rain forest with sloths and other native wildlife hanging around in the trees. As amazing as our room and the hotel was, it pales in comparison to the attention from the staff. Daniel Blanco was the one golf cart driver that we came to rely on the most. The attention to detail is beyond anything I've experienced before. Daniel went out of his way to make sure that he helped celebrate our friend's 3 year old daughter's birthday. He was always close by and would always find a way to make our day just a little better. Fred was another driver that went out of his way. He also put together a little something for my friend's daughter. By the end of the second day everyone knew us, knew the rooms we were staying in, made us feel like the only ones there. Also want to give thanks to Alonso at the welcome center, driver Jack, Max at Nostalgia wine bar, Joseph at the bar at Ayla, and everyone else we spent time with. You really get an opportunity to chat with the staff and get to know them. I really feel like we made friends while we were there. The place is gorgeous, the people are amazing, the food was fantastic. It was really hard leaving that place. If you're on the fence about visiting....just do it. you won't regret it. I have only positive things to say about Nayara garden! I am always reluctant to go to hotels or resorts, just me of course but, I tend to find them soulless. But I have to admit that for me Nayara Garden was the exception. People there were extremely gracious, ready to help at any time. We were welcomed by Jefferson who during our entire stay became like a friend to chat with. Then we met Luis, the manager, incredibly generous and kind who took us on a tour of the grounds, and answered all kinds of questions about Nayara and Costa Rica. For our bungalow nothing beats the photos on their website. All casitas are situated for privacy with just the wild animals. birds, frogs for company! I can’t remember all their names but the staff is incredible, I never felt anything but kindness. You can spend the day relaxing or sign up for an adventure for the day or just few hours. For me, ziplining and rappelling the waterfalls was great. I am originally from Switzerland but nothing compares to doing these excursions in the beautiful rainforests of Costa Rica!
