A question for serious bird photographers. I'm wondering if the birds you see are primarily in good light (meaning, you're able to get decent shutter speed with reasonable ISO), or do they tend to be in deep shadows - from the photos of the area, it does look like there is a lot of tree cover. Just thought I'd ask ahead of time. :)

Hello! Does anyone know if it is possible to visit the Ranch for a day trip without booking a room? We have sadly already booked our stay elsewhere and can't cancel. But I am a huge hummingbird lover and this sounds like a great place to see them without having to go out of our way to do it. If we can go for a day trip, do we need to book a guided tour or can we wander on our own? And is there a cost involved to do it on our own, if that's possible? We will of course have a meal there! Thanks!
