Simply amazing views of the volcano and gorgeous, spacious rooms that are remarkably soundproof since we had a lot of families staying in rooms around us. The pools are beautiful and warm and our two kids (9 & 11 yrs) LOVED the waterslide in the lowest one - I'll admit, even my husband and I loved that part... Pretty typical...

Sadly, I'm writing this review all too late. My fiancé and I took a trip to Costa Rica after our engagement and staying at The Springs Resort and Spa was the best decision ever! The service was amazing! The rooms were amazing! The grounds were amazing! Every room as a view of the volcano. Waking up to that was simply...

Where do I start?? The journey in is well....it was interesting, we rented a 4x4 manual "Jimmy" which was in no way a "Jimmy" to U.S. standards. The roads are pretty rough and when they say "bridge ahead" please for the life of me STOP!! (cars are coming straight for you) and once you reach the resort the mile or...

Wooww. The room had a magnificent view of the volcano in addition of being spacious and family friendly. The kids were so really happy of the appletv in the room! We also enjoyed a dine in room service in the balcony. It was fabulous! There is enough variety of activities to keep you active when you choose to be. Even...

We just absolutely loved our time at the Springs. Everything was honestly perfect. We had a lovely 2-bed suite (upgraded for free from a Grand Vista Family room) which was amazing. Room was well-equipped and well-maintained. We LOVED the huge balcony with dual hammocks -- we sat out there every night and morning, watching birds and staring at the volcano....

We stayed at The Springs on the first half of our 8 day trip to Costa Rica. We were traveling with a party of 10 (2 families and our grandmother). The ride from San Jose is a little over 3 hours and well worth having a driver as the roads are tricky to navigate. We decided to stay at the...

We recently stayed here for 3 nights, my husband and I and our two teenagers. We had the family room - ample space for all 4 of us, killer views of Arenal, a spacious lanai, luxurious bathroom, comfy beds! The resort is unique, has tremendous pools and grounds and excellent restaurants. We were treated like royalty, by the most friendly...

We did not stay at this hotel, but it looks fabulous! We visited the Wildlife Sanctuary, which is like a zoo for local rescued animals. We really enjoyed it--saw monkeys, ocelot, toucans, crocs, and lots of other animals. The highlights were the sloths! We got to go inside the cage with them and actually touch them! They move so slowly,...

We arrived at this hotel after staying at the JW Marriott in Guanacaste at the beginning of our Spring Break trip to Costa Rica. This hotel in the rain forest was the perfect contrast to the JW Marriott on the dry, hot Pacific coast. It's about a 4 hour drive from Guanacaste to Arenal over what at times is some...

We spent 3 nights with our 10 and 11 year old kids at The Springs after an amazing stay at their sister property, Peace Lodge. Before I get to the property, I must share a quick story about our transfer between properties. I had emailed both properties asking what we could do to break up the 2.5 hour drive in...
