We recently spent two nights as a family at the Springs. This was the third stop on our trip. The Springs is an over-the-top kind of place, in my view. In order of what struck us, the views of Arenal are over-the-top, the service is more or less consistently over-the-top, the Club Rio activities are great and family friendly, and...

We stayed at the Springs resort for the first 3 nights of our 10 night honeymoon and couldn't have had a better time! Our only regret it we didn't stay there the whole time! The staff is incredible and so are the dinners. The views of the volcano are second to none, and with only 47 rooms you feel as...

We loved our trip to Costa Rica and the springs resort. My husband and I took out 13 year old teenager for 6 nights. The staff at the Springs was always accommodating and friendly. Pura Vida! Tours at the springs resort - tubing is a blast - wear closed toe shoes - prepare to get soaked. This is a lot...

This is a pretty remarkable property. We arrived on a day when you couldn't see fifty feet in front of the hotel, given the rain and fog, but each day improved until we could just see the top of the volcano on our departure (see picture). We ended our trip here and, after many excursions in other locations, were happy...

Not sure we have been to a better family hotel/resort. Safe and clean. Nice game room for our three sons. They rate it excellent. Room was a great value. Very clean everywhere. Hot springs and mineral pools were fantastic. The views was out of this world!

I typically stay at 5-star hotels, and this is the best overall resort I've stayed at! We stayed there for two nights during a 9-day vacation. The service was outstanding, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We traveled with our two children, ages 14 and 16, and they didn't want to leave. I highly recommend visiting the animal...

This is an outstanding, luxurious hotel/resort for general R&R but most guests probably use it as a home-base for eco-touristic activities in the area, such as white water rafting, treking, etc. (These are offered by independent companies which will pick you up and bring you back, but be prepared for one to two hour drives to the various activities.)There are...

A fabulous hotel with a stunning view of the Arenal volcano – from every room. For a family of 5, we stayed in a spacious two-bedroom suite – which was perfect. The bedrooms included a king size bed and 3 singles in a second room with its own large bathroom. The rooms have a natural décor and waking up to...

The trip to the hot springs at this resort was the highlight of our trip. Years ago, we had gone to the hot springs at Tabacon (which is priced similarly). This was ten times better. The hotel is so beautifully constructed that you'll want to just walk around the hotel for a bit to admire the wood, stone and views....

This is a place where you can find everything that is needed to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their large bedroom and bathroom with a full view of the volcano is very luxurious and stylish with an added wilderness-like comfort made from bath towels and are folded into an animal. The amenities and bars that are spread out throughout...
