Lost Iguana is a beautiful 5 star accommodation with a dedicated staff, groomed grounds and stunning views on Arenal Volcano. The spa is beautiful, serene, and offers a variety of services in a beautiful setting. The breakfast buffet is excellent, many choices from fresh fruit to custom made omelets, impeccable service; lunch and dinner menus offer many choices with one...

Very nice hotel with friendly service. Stayed for 2 days. First day the breakfast was great; second day it was mediocre. It was raining the second night so we went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. The food was incredible- possibly the best we had in Costa Rica! We stayed in a second floor room with a view. It was...

After arriving at the La Fortuna airport, this resort was at least a 30 minute drive. It is difficult to spot the sign from the highway, but it is down the same road as the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges. The resort is tucked away in the jungle and is secured by a front gate with a guard. The rooms are...

We love Costa Rica. This was out first trip to La Fortuna. We loved the Lost Iguana Resort. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable ans spacious. And the view of the volcano and surrounding rain forest was spectacular. I highly recommend this resort!

I have traveled to the La Fortuna area for 3 different trips over the past 10 years. Arenal was still displaying fantastic eruptions/lava flows on the first trip, but it has been silent since. However, the magnificence of the mountain remains, and I will never get tired of looking at it. The Lost Iguana property has some of the best...

A lovely place with stunning volcano views....just be more prepared than we were that the sun may never come out and the volcano may be hidden by clouds so you may pay a premium for a view that you won't see-certainly no fault of the resort, but be careful if coming for that view. We got lucky our last morning....

This hotel is quite far away from town and a taxi is needed to go anywhere. The food is very good. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice although we had room 33 which was lacking some lights plus it would be handy to have a handle on the outside of the patio doors! (this count for all...

We stayed for two days at the start of our Costa Rican vacation. Wanting to be close to the rain forest, we picked the right location.
