Hotel Liberia is in a great location, yards from the main square, and close to several good restaurants. It's a character hotel staffed with helpful and friendly staff with an excellent restaurant - prices in line with other places. However the accommodation itself isn't so great. Although we'd paid for one of the main rooms, there was clearly some overbooking...

I highly recommend staying here! The employees are beyond helpful & friendly -- they even walked us to another hotel & got us a room when we wanted to stay another night & Hotel Liberia was all booked! They helped us with directions to Llanos de Cortez even after we were no longer guests! The rooms are clean with nice...

The most amazing hotel I have ever been. The staff is very helpful and accomidating. Went back the day after we stayed to grab a bite to eat. The food is great and cheap. The hotel is a little spendy, but if you can afford to pay $20 extra, it is well worth it. There is a small garden area...

People were friendly. The dining room and courtyard were charming. The room had little cross circulation, and was clean, but average. The hotel offered laundry r y service at a reasonable price. I felt very safe, and the little courtyard was such a pleasant surprise in the middle o f t h e city center. I plan to stay another...

This is a small boutique hotel, little gem.. with a wonderful owner on site.. his prices are very affordable.. however I think he sells it short. Worth much more and could do wonders if he charged more. So given the price there are a couple of little things that could get fixed but you can tell this owner has a...

We stayed here one night soon after getting off the plane from UK. It is situated right in the middle of Liberia and very convenient for a couple of good restaurants and the bus stop to the airport . It was clean and fairly comfortable although our ground floor room in the main building was dark and noisy from the...

Easy to walk to from the Transamerica Highway if you are without car . Roberto, the reception/waiter/room attendant is excellent and very helpful . The other big guy who seems to be the manager, not so much. This hotel is also a three minute walk to the the bus to get to the airport (takes 15 minutes and costs $1...

Liberia is not a tourist destination, just a stopover, and we stayed at the Hotel Liberia 2 days when we arrived in Costa Rica and 2 days at the end of our stay. Both times we had a basic, clean room (upstairs rooms have more light). The breakfast was excellent and served in their very comfortable restaurant (part of the...

We stay here two nights and were impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Hotel Liberia is close to two good restaurants and within walking distance of the bus terminal. The rooms are small but comfortable. The only drawbacks were no hot water in the shower and lack of cross ventilation in the room.
