This hotel is among the best places we have stayed at during our extensive travels as a family. My wife and I started taking the mids to different parts of the world at an early age. We are fortunate enough to be able to access some of the most exotic locations and this W hotel is a masterpiece. I cannot immagine someone complain about their stay here unless they are entitled cry baby. For real: the service is above all expectations we absolutely loved the Costa Rican people. The gardens and property in genral are extremely well kept. This is a fairly new hotel to my understanding and it shows in the rooms as they are spick n span ! The most fun part of our stay has been the tours and excursions we did with a local company CONCHALFUN. We booked in advance a few days and the owner Andrei took sweet time to answer all our questions ad help us choose the best trips. Rio Celeste rain forest with sloths and waterfall swimming was absolutely amazing. We loved gabriel our guide who took such great care fo us and made sure we are having fun and are comfortable at all times. We also did their private sail boat charter it was so much better then crowded booze cruise with 40 people. We stopped for snorkel and the kids loved that private beach. We also did the jet skis and horseback riding on the beach. BE CAREFUL some poeple on the beach try to impersonate CONCHALFUN or convince you with shady tactics to cancel your tours and book on the beach but we politely declined and they left us alone. Conchal fun has over 800 reviews on trip advisor so do some research. Andrei the owener responds immediately much better service then the hotel tour company who are more expensive and wont even reply in a timely manner. A big shout out to Aiysha and her team for making our stay at the W amazing! The rooms were beautiful with the most spectacular views! The restaurants on the property were amazing and we loved the breakfast buffet which was expansive. We were celebrating my birthday during this trip and Aiysha made it extra special with finding the right location for touring and for dinner. The workout facility had everything you could need to stay in shape during the trip. And the spa was so relaxing. Thank you!

I loved this resort so much! The W was for wow and wonderful. We had a gorgeous corner suite with a plunge pool, and enjoyed all of the wildlife and sunrise each morning. The food was delicious and the cocktails were well crafted. Definitely a favorite vacation destination and we can’t wait to go back. ❤️

My husband and I spent a few nights at the W to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, we wanted a few days at the beach and a few in the rainforest, and selecting the W for the beach portion of our trip to Costa Rica was the best decision. The hotel is beautiful, we had an Escape room with ocean view and it was nicely decorated and extremely comfortable, the bed and the pillows were incredible for an amazing and restful night sleep and the shower having two shower heads was superb! The pool is really nice and the short walk to the beach through their private path is also beautiful, although they have carts to take you if you prefer not to walk. The service is outstanding, everyone is really friendly and ready to provide the best experience. In particular Yossi at the restaurant, Raquel at the pool bar and Milena at the front desk, made us feel at home, thank you! My only suggestion is to define one single practice for breakfast, some people had it included and other didn’t, we never got the option to include breakfast when we booked, maybe because we booked through a third party; it was very messy, as we ordered from the menu and a lot of people were having the buffet included, it took forever to get a waiter’s attention to order and then a long time to get the order, and if you don’t have it included, the buffet is $45 per person. They should either include it to everyone, raising the price of the room a bit or just have everyone ordering from the menu, the combination makes even the work of the waiters very complicated.…

Wow!! This was one of the best experiences we have had at a hotel. As a Marriott Titanium member, I can say this hotel went above and beyond any other property I have stayed at. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and personal. Brent at registration asked if we were celebrating any occasion and I briefly said it was my partner’s birthday yesterday, that evening we had a delicious beautiful cake in our sitting area! Marco and Carlos are wizards at the bar, serving drinks with a “pura vida” aura. Jeffery checked on us each time we saw him and wanted to make sure we had the best experience. He even took us to the Westin to find monkeys. As for the rooms, we stayed in the one bedroom tree house suite and it was AMAZING!! Very private yet close to the pool! My partner who wasn’t very excited about the trip, said it was one of the best hotel experiences he has had and would go back again and again! The only thing is the hotel is remote but if you have a car it is not a big deal, but with the service, drinks and food, we didn’t want to leave! Went to the W Costa Rica for 25-year anniversary. The place was paradise! Staff and grounds were impeccable. Particular praise for the following folks: - Maria was the most joyful and delightful server. She's been there since they opened! - Pamela Lopez and Mariella in the spa were thoughtful and went above and beyond for my wife (helping us find some monkeys to see!) - Jaime at the bar was a gracious conversationalist - even as his shift was ending - Stephanie at the front desk was kind to not only assist with an issue with our room but to check-in the following day to ensure that it was to our liking WOW! Thanks, y'all for making our anniversary trip so great. kudos to a kind, empathetic and well-trained staff!

First I must apologize for the delayed review but I could not locate my notes, and this resort deserves the accolades. I visited this resort in October of 2022 with a small group. As a Frequent traveler with Marriott elite status I was truly amazed by the W Costa Rica from the moment we entered through the security gate. The property felt as large as Central Park and we were met with meticulous landscaping as we drove through nature's best while headed to the resort. When we arrived at the resort and exited our Sprinter vehicle we were met by several members of the W staff who greeted us with a smile that seemed inviting and genuine. After our checkin my wife and I were escorted to our Garden view one bedroom plunge pool suite. The room was spacious, clean, and the views were breathtaking. The livingroom was spacious, and the bedroom was well situated with views from the bed. The bathroom was was large with double vanity sinks, and a large shower with garden views though the glass. We left our room to walk around the resort and took a stroll down to the beach. Golf cart transportation is available (appx 5 minute ride) but we decided to walk and experience what nature had to offer. During our stroll down to the beach we saw a deer, and heard a variety of nosies that calmed the senses. When we reached the bottom we saw the family pool, and a resturant. We decided to have a few specialty virgin drinks that were very flavorful. A quick walk to the beach area and I was reminded of one of the main reasons why we selected the W hotel in Costa Rica; the Beach. The resort has one of the best beaches in Guanacaste. The sand was normal in color unlike other areas where it may be black due to past volcanic ash, and missing were the many rocks that I once endured at another resort in Costa Rica during a previous visit that made swimming hard on the feet. No water shoes needed at this resort. The water is blue, which made me believe that we made the right choice in coming to this resort.The next morning we had the buffet breakfast which had several options that filled us to the max.The rice and beans, omelets made to order, and other selections made the cost well worth it. The severs were very pleasant which seemed common amongst all employees. They would greet us by our name after a few days which exemplifies five star service. When we traveled locally we used the on site shuttle sprinter van, which is the same company that we used to transport our group from the airport to the resort. The rates were very reasonable especially when traveling with a small group to town, and to our outside dining. One morning my wife and I tried the floating breakfast in our room since we had the plunge pool. The food was delivered warm, fresh, and once agin the severs stated our name upon presentation. They even went as far as to mention all of the items to ensure that everything that we ordered was present. As they lowered the large round tray into the plunger pool I was amazed how this full tray was able to flat effortlessly. If you visit the W and have a plug pool in your room you MUST try the floating breakfast. If you are able to please upgrade to a suite with a plug pool. We had the privilege to have this experience on our last day. It is also offered at the pool area, but the privacy of having it delivered to your room will be memorable. T my surprise the food was presented at a great tempurature as if we were at the resturant, and everything was very tasty as we have come to expect at this resort. There is truly NOTHING negative that I can say about my stay at the W Costa Rica. If you took the W logo off of the hotel and replaced it with words ST REGIS you would never know the difference. The hospitality shown to my entire group, the location, the beach, and the accommodations makes the W Costa Rica the BEST ALL AROUND W HOTEL I EVER STAYED IN. A return visit is definitely on my bucket list. Now as far as giving kudos the entire staff was phenomenal, but there is one person that stood out from the rest.Miss Nicole Artavia (I hope that I have the name correct) is the Wonder Woman at the W. This young lady was everywhere. She assisted us upon arrival for breakfast, recommended a restaurant for our group dinner (Sentido Norte) that had breathing ocean views sitting high on a cliff, and she even went down to the beach to notify a member of our party concerning our dinner reservations since we could not reach him due to limited cell service. She is definitely an asset to this resort, and if I ever wanted to start a hotel she would be at the top of my employee hiring list. She is truly special. In closing I hope that I have pursuaded you to visit the W Costa Rica, and if you are seeking a resort fit for a King and Queen that is relaxing and surrounded by nature then you must visit this resort. My wife and I celebrated my Birthday/anniversary at the W Hotel. What a peaceful oasis the W has to offer! It was a perfect place to escape from our busy lives. The entire property was majestic from the entrance all the way to the beach. The restaurants were amazing that offered great food and service. I love to give shout out to the entire staff that made our stay amazing especially Miguel Zona Azul beach club and Fabio the mixologist at L10. Thank you! We try booking transportation and activities with the hotel but was extremely expensive! I found a company called ConchalFun.com and Andrea was very helpful and reasonable with his prices. I will definitely use him again when I return. Only other issues I had was the bed. It was too firm for my tasting and It was like sleeping on a concrete block! and the bread for the burger was unpleasant. Other than that the hotel was Amazing and will definitely return!…

Just got home last night ! Amazing hotel with the most amazing staff ! But the one person that stands out the most is Aaron from concierge. Before I left I drove the entire concierge dept crazy with emails regarding the floating breakfast . It was a surprise for my daughters 30th birthday. It worked about perfectly , at the exact time and the food was outstanding. Couldn’t ask for better service from Aaron and the rest of his team.

I've stayed at the Westin, but I love the vibe at The W. And the views from the rooms in the Tower are incredible. I could sit in my room all day and just look outside. The food is also incredible, and Morgan, the guy from Limon, gave us a great tour of the property on bikes. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
